I called ahead and spoke to a sales rep. She said they wouldnât allow me to take the vehicle to my mechanic before purchase. Apparently their policy is that we have 250 miles to get the car checked out and can return it if thereâs an issue. My problem with this: if an issue with the vehicle is discovered during that time period, Iâm taking all the risk, using up my time, and potentially subject to another hard pull on my credit if I have to refinance a second vehicle. Then I have to go through the emotional and time sucking process of finding a new vehicle after I thought I had one that worked for me. No thanks, just let me get it checked my mechanic and letâs do a deal!
