I recently test drove a 2024 Toyota Tundra and came in as a serious buyer, but the experience fell short. The truck had visible hail damage, and I was told it would be repaired in-house and not show up on Carfax. That raised concerns about transparency, as it’s something I’d feel obligated to disclose when reselling. There were also multiple condition issues: a sagging headliner near the moonroof controls, a missing wheel cap, and no radio knob, so I couldn’t fully test the system. Altogether, it didn’t feel properly reconditioned or carefully presented. The overall experience felt more like a stereotypical used car lot than a professional dealership. I left questioning what else may not have been disclosed. I came ready to buy, but left with concerns about both the vehicle and transparency.
