My experience with the staff was fine until I was ready to make the 1 hour and 45 minute trip to see the vehicle I wanted. I specifically told them I had a long trip, and asked the salesperson (her name starts with J) what time they to which she replied, "7pm." When I was ready to make the trip, I called again to ask and confirm, "If I leave soon, and everything goes well, can I drive the truck home today?" The salesperson replied, "yes you will be able to it home." When I got in the car and left about 15 minutes later, I followed up with an ETA of 6:30, to which another sales person replied that their last appointment is at 6pm, and that if I made the trip, I would need to return the next day to pickup the vehicle. I told them that's just not acceptable, and the GM replied, "Then we don't have a deal." To which I said, "you're right, we don't," then hung up and turned back home from the wasted trip.

Brian was great to work with. Knowledge and fun.

He gave me the impression that he didn’t really want to sell me the car. I asked about a small dent on the back and whether they would be willing to reduce the price because of it. He said he would look into it and get back to me, but I haven’t heard anything from him since.

Left a message and got no reply back

My Hartford dealership experience raised several red flags. I scheduled a test drive and received confirmation, but only after arriving was I told they normally don't allow Corvette test drives. They also wouldn't allow an outside independent PPI, although they did let me inspect the car on their lift. I requested a cold start and inspected underneath. I found peeling/damage on a wheel and significant residue around the rear shocks suggesting possible leakage. When I pointed it out, their mechanic said, “I just changed those shocks,” which raised additional concerns. The tires were also very old—an important safety issue on a 460-hp Corvette. They eventually allowed a short test drive but wouldn't allow highway speeds, so I couldn't properly check for vibration. Despite these issues, I was still willing to negotiate. Only afterward was I told the advertised price was non-negotiable. I made a reasonable offer considering the tires, wheel, and suspension concerns; they declined, I walked

Although the vehicle I was interested in was not available, Porsche Hartford did their best to help me find what I'm looking for ... Here's hoping we can end up working together.
