I reached out about a vehicle to get the total out the door price and I received an email inviting me to see the car in person. When I responded stating that I was coming from out of state and wanted to make sure the numbers made sense, they stopped responding.

I had a very disappointing experience with Tristate Auto. I called ahead about a specific car and was told to come in and see it. I drove an hour out of my way, only to find out when I arrived that they had lost the key—something they clearly already knew when I called. Despite that, I stayed patient and didn’t make a scene. I actually went as far as agreeing to a deal on the car, and they assured me they would not sell it to anyone else. After that, I made a real effort to follow up—I called daily and was repeatedly told they’d reach out once they had a new key. Eventually, they just stopped answering my calls altogether. No updates, no communication. Then I found out they sold the car to someone else anyway. It’s not just the inconvenience—it’s the lack of honesty and follow-through that’s frustrating. If they had been upfront from the beginning or communicated clearly, it would have been a completely different experience. I wouldn’t recommend them based on how this was handled.

Good dealership

Dealership did not honor the online price at the time ($27995). The price has since increased to $30994. Customer service and communication was poor. Salesman was attending to other persons while I sat waiting, more than 45 minutes. I travelled from out of state and this was a total waste of time and resources. The vehicle had a knocking sound during the test drive that was not addressed. The sales manager informed me that it was not my fault that they paid too much at the auction, and that he would not be making any money on this deal. What does that have to do with the customer? Very poor customer service. It appears this dealership practices bait and switch just to get people into their establishment!

Vehicle I requested wasn’t available in the vehicles that they had available. All the batteries were dead. The inside of the cars were filthy and they let me test drive a car that had no brakes and I almost crashed. I had to jump a curb just to stop the car very bad experience
