I found this 2022 Genesis GV70 on cargurus and inquired if it was available for a test drive the following day and Reading Mitsubishi confirmed availability. I arrived and was assisted promptly. Upon opening the door, it smelled like the smokers lounge. The salesperson said the car would be ionized before sale. I asked if the posted list price could be lowered due to the odor. This started the “used car sales bait and switch talk”. The rep spoke to the manager and gave me a price that was higher than the list price. She said, our disclaimer in “Our” website states that “we” include a $2499 down payment into our list price. $28500 is really $31499. So this dealer uses 3rd party sites for promotion marketing wrong information that you won’t see unless you visit their site that also states dealer financing is also a required condition. Why do used car sales have such a stereotypical slimy reputation? This is why. It’s not every dealer, shop elsewhere and demand truth in advertising.
