I messaged the dealership the first day the truck was listed on CarGurus. I got spammed by an AI Chatbot initially and for the duration of the week (to me the use of a chat bot is a deeply impersonal customer service tactic ) Then was texted by a very helpful staffer named Ella. We were in communication all week long waiting for the service and maintenance department to finish their checks on the vehicle. The vehicle was initially listed at 24,900, but then I noted they increased the price to 26,100. When I inquired if the original price would be honored, I got radio silence, the next text I got stated the truck had been sold. Early on, I offered to put a deposit down as I live 80 miles from the dealership and could not get there at the drop of a hat and was told this was not possible. The Almighty dollar wins again over building lasting relationships. Will definitely avoid doing business with Dwayne Lane in the future.

The staff was very attentive and helpful. When I called to see if the car was still available, they took the time to go out to the lot to check and to see if the mileage matched the advertised mileage. It did. They let me test drive the car further than the normal since I had freeway and mountain passes to navigate frequently. The car had a couple of scratches which they buffed out, no charge. They followed up in a couple of days to see if everything was still OK. It did take a while to do all the paperwork, but I was somewhat prepared for that. I was impressed enough to recommend them to our daughter for when she will need a car.

The main salesperson was really nice and straightforward. There was some deception and high pressure tactics to sell us some random stuff we didn’t need by the manager. Then the finance person tried to sell us on a loan that was longer and $4k more. We ended up with the car we wanted and the original price but it was a somewhat unpleasant and long process
