Whereas I thought I was purchasing a car with minimal issues, after taking the car to a Volvo mechanic, I discovered there were many more problems than initially revealed. An example, when asked about the engine light being on, the car salesman told me that it just needed to be reset as the car had passed inspection. This was not case, however, as once the light was reset, it indicated there was a problem with the car’s airbags. Of course, this was of major concern as it was a safety issue. Another example, water was found to be leaking from the sunroof drain into the car causing dampness in the interior of the car after the car sat for a while. There are other issues related to loose screws in the engine area as well. The car is currently with the Volvo mechanic to be repaired. Let’s just say, the negative reputation many used car salesmen have was proven to be deserved. How unfortunate!
