2000 Porsche Boxster Base Reviews
| “Amazing German Engineering”
An eight year old car with 100K miles that still runs like new! It's small enough to be fun to drive but big enough inside for a 6'-2" driver.
Pros —
Great handling and balance.
Cons —
Interior plastic wears easily.

| “Really Fun To Drive - When It Isn't Broken” The car responds like a Porsche. Very few cars drive and feel this way, provide this level of performance and still remain comfortable. Too bad the car kept breaking with little stuff and add in a really crappy dealer experience in Buffalo NY, it wasn't worth keeping.
Pros —
Great handling. Great brakes.
Cons —
Expensive to maintain. Lot's of little stuff kept breaking and the dealer wouldn't have the parts in stock, so it would mean repeat trip to fix the problem after the parts arrive.

| “Fun Little Roadster!”
Well it's actually Bry's car, but it resides in my garage so it's mine too!
Pros —
TOO much fun, great handling, can't wait to take it out on the track
Cons —
feels clausterphobic with top up

| “Your First Step Onto The Porsche Ladder” I`ve owned 911`s, a 924 & a couple of 944`s, the Boxsters a good choice with excellent handling, but isnt as well built as the old school ones.
Pros —
Suprising economy, superb handling.
Cons —
Doesnt feel special inside or to drive unless you do some uprating

| “Not My Style” It felt cramped, it didn't get up and moved like I think a sports car should, and the final insult is that it sounds like a leaf blower when driving down the street. I know its the entry level car but they really need to work on it if they want someone stepping up from a Miata to want this.
Pros —
It's a Porsche
Cons —
It's not a 911, nor even as good as a G35 coupe or 350Z is today

| “Great Car.” So good. What can I say. Just don't try to stock butter in the rear trunk.
Pros —
Porsche...
Cons —
price ? Waiting...

| “What Fun” Weekend hire as a 30th birthday present from my family and friends. Great fun to drive but problems with this particular car which are too complex to go into now. Only wish I'd had more time with it
Pros —
Speed, handling and the wind-in-the-hair aspect
Cons —
Not as quick as a 911

| “Performance For A Bargain.” Excellent weekend/performance sports car for a bargain. Will outperform any car in its category given similar trim levels. This roadster is meant to be driven hard and meant for the driver that wants to feel the road. You will feel every groove, bump, and crack in the road. Significantly cheaper than its older brother, the 911, the Boxster still delivers speed and agility comparable to the Carrera.
Pros —
Neck snapping performance, superior traction, great power to weight ratio.
Cons —
Expensive maintenance, expensive parts, expensive labor, expensive gas, expensive tires, expensive oil.
