2005 Used Volkswagen Jetta TDI Review

 This is the diesel model, which is quiet and odorless, unless I use bio, and then it generally smells like french fries. I bought it with 10,000 miles, and have put on 45,000 so far. The car gets amazing fuel mileage, over 50 mpg on the highway and rarely under 35 in town! I have no clue why Americans are anti-diesel, but it's about time to get over it. The car is so far advanced in emissions it doesn't even register at the DEQ. It isn't a speed demon, but easily gets up to high speeds on cross country travel. Maintenance cost is minimal, I've only ever changed oils and filters. Stock tires are loud, but when replaced with quality Yokohamas the entire ride got way better and quieter. One problem with the trunk remote was replaced under warranty. Only problem I see is that they are very difficult to find, new or used, as they are in such high demand.

The care is very nice. It handles well and is a smooth ride. The sun/moon roof is nice. The truck is really big. The down side of the car is that it doesnt have much acceleration but the up side to that is that it gets around 30 miles a gallon.

It rides nice, nice stereo system, awesome MPG

Not much get up and go

performance ig great on this car my acceleration is fast my breaking is hard and my handling is perfect for a FW drive car the car has not needed any repairs no squeaks or rattels...the interior is black on black and the exterior is gray on black no updated pic but rims are black the grill is black and the window are too..... gas mileage depends on the boost level but the car is fun to drive people turn head when u beat a 50k car it great lol i love this car .......

well its a volkswagon so engine lights on so get it under warranty, but the handling and engine power is exceptional! i would like the sound of the speakers a little better but they are pretty good. it is a very fun car and sleek looking car.

comfortable, quick get up
Cons:
a lot of little creaks and squeaks and speakers are good at first but die out after a while

Everything. Comfortable OEM interior, drives nice, beautiful color, get compliments all the time on color, great gas mileage, cheap to own, for the most part. Learn to do repairs yourself. it's more fun that way. Over all, A++++. <3 Volkswagen.

Great performance even though I drove the 1.6. It has great comfort. Super smooth on the roads. Car is pricy at first and value drops quick on it. the car has good handling but it is too far off the ground making it at times felling as though you are driving a 4X4 lol

I will own this car for ever. Geat acceleration stops on a dime, sweet handling. I have not spent a penny on repairs with 37000 miles on her. The 1.8t GLI package only came out in 2004 and 2005 and it's the best looking Jetta ever built.
