  Performance is obviously amazing... the LS1 motor is so torquey. Braking is very strong, and it handles very well (especially with the Z51 package). The passenger side window had a problem but that's pretty common from sitting in a garage for too long, didn't cost anything to fix. The motor and transmission seem solid as well. It's gorgeous on the outside but the interior is so so. The gas mileage is very good. Probably about 20/29. Of course the car is fun to drive!
Pros:
Performance, gas mileage, FUN to drive
Cons:
Can't drive in winter

This is my third corvette; 1980 bought new, 1992 six spd targa and my 2004 convertible. Hands down this is the best bang for the buck. There is absolutely no cowl shake and the car handles like it is on rails, with great acceleration. I had looked at buying a C6 but do not like the cheapening of the interior.
Pros:
Beautiful lines, superb handling and acceleration. Nice creature comforts.
Cons:
Run flat tires are very, very expensive. Seat leather and cushions not designed to handle moderate use.

My first Vette and I just love it. Fit and finish is superior and performance is fantastic. Mileage is 18 around town and 24 on the highway. More than I expected out of a performance car. The great thing is that my wife also loves it! Looking towards going to my 1st Corvette show this weekend in November. I would recommend to anyone that loves sports cars to find a low mileage used C5 and enjoy! I was lucky to fine this 2004 with 2700 original miles.
Pros:
Too many to list!
Cons:
The car stays covered all week waiting for the weekend to roll around!

If i buy another vette then it will be with a manual transmission. All past vettes were manual so decided to try automatic on this one. 1 - With automatic trans i feel something is missing. 2nd, Don't like the ride when tranmission is in TOURING Mode; its too loose and car seems to skip/jump when making a turn on an uneven road. 3rd - Side mirrors are too small. Style and size need to be updated.
Cons:
Wish the exhaust had a more throaty sound like in years past.

This is my husband's car. He loves Vettes--this is his 6th one. He just recently sold his classic '81... I like this one better because it is roomier inside and safer (i.e. airbags!). Lots of power, heads-up display make this a sweet driving car. I've only gotten to drive it twice :( BOSE stereo is nice when you are flying down the highway! Targa top is great in nice weather, and there is plenty of room in the back for a couple of bags when we head up to Tahoe for the weekend.
Pros:
Styling, color (rich blue), handling, POWER
Cons:
I think it rides like a truck and I think for the money that it should ride like a luxury car! My Tahoe has a better ride... But all Vettes are like that and it does ride better than the '81...

the corvette is no longer just a car with lots of power, it's also become quite ravy. The breaks are great (and about the size of a family-pizza), the suspension is AWESOME and I love the head up display.
Pros:
it's a car you can drive daily but looks way better than a porsche
Cons:
the interior is, let's say, not what you'd expect from a car in this price category.

Very nice, 6 speed, manual transmission. auto EVERYTHING, digital display in windshield. Bought the car brand new before it even made it to the car lot!!
