awesome car overall. it gets great gas mileage which is awesome for todays prices for 4$ a gallon of gas. any repairs needed on the car are quick, cheap, and easy.  the style of the corolla is pretty basic, but i love its still sporty yet non sporty look. my car i did some of my own body work to though, you cant get it that way lol. and best of all, the manual is the most fun thing to drive. it has 185k miles on it still running fine as being a teenager i beat the crap out of it. horsepower doesnt really kick in till mid 3k rpms though

Pros: fun to drive, great on gas.
Cons: low horsepower and torque

Toyota is a really great car actually, especially if you are going to buy a used one! They tend to have noisy heaters though, especially the older they get. And if your car is before 98 you will have a timing belt which needs to be changed around 150,000 km. 98 and up its a timing chain so those last forever.

Pros: not domestic, good make/lasts quite long
Cons: parts are expensive

VE stands for Very Expensive Edition People. This car goes from A to B and back to B, but forget about Z.

# Performance – acceleration is pretty nice not too much lag from push gas pedal down, braking is fair for a light weight car, handling is pretty solid and it parks really easy
# Build Quality – has it needed repairs? Not many at all which is great for a 1998
# Appearance – looks like a family car, need I say more
# Cost of Ownership – gas mileage is great 40$ is the max I have paid for a full tank, maintenance is low
# Fun Factor – is this car fun to drive? Meh
Would you recommend this car to a friend? Hells yes it is a great little car and is very economical.

Pros: Drives well
Cons: Looks aint included

My aunt's car. It's a fine car - my only quibble is that the steering and pedals don't give you a whole lot of feedback. There's also no cruise control, but this is admittedly not much of an issue on the PEI roads where this car is driven. Strengths include an excellent factory stereo with an analogue volume control (so that there are theoretically infinite volume settings instead of set levels that are sometimes too far apart).

Pros: Very reliable
Cons: Loose-feeling steering

Acceleration nice breaks make a very fun sound when applied. Solid body but colour wears out quickly. Interiors, exteriors are terrible, alot of dust due to off road driving. Gas consumption excellent and maintenace costs low. Manual, i love it.

Pros: Manual gear box, i love it.
Cons: Appearance terrible

This is a very reliable car, it is hard to find another car as reliable as a Corolla.  Usually when you think four door sedan, you think of three speeds slow slower and stop.  Not so much with this car, in fact it is quite possible to leave that pack and go lone wolf.  Which is where you will spend most of your time.  There is no spark to this car and is straight out average.

Pros: Did a Corolla just over take you?  Yes it did.
Cons: reliable = dull

It runs great and has never given my any major problems, however it is not well put together as all the door handles except one are broken on the inside. It gets about 25 to 30mpg city and 35 to 40 highway. Doesn't have much get up and go. I would recommend this car to someone who doesn't like to spend a whole lot on gas

Pros: Runs Great
Cons: Could you some cosmetic work

Owned this car for 10 years and nothing has broken. Performs well for a 10 yr old car. I plan to drive it another 5 to 10 years with basic maintenance. Very reliable car. I have heard from other reviewers that the paint is not that great. I would say not so much, my paint is still in very good condition.

Pros: Reliable
Cons: not as much power, styling isn't up there.
