Okay car but the kia dept. needs to honor their warranty or they should be sued!!!!!!
the kia was nice but had loud motor noise, sounded like a lawn mower when u turned it on. the brakes wore out before 3 months of driving. the shocks were very loud and it didnt hanle well in the snow. everything else was okay from the interior to the exterior. but the motor was crappy from the beginning. especially if it only had 59k on the motor and the transmision decides to go. ( hint hint...)
Pros: good looking paint, nice grille looked like a mercedes for a second. roomy.
Cons: bad reliability, loud noises. and transmision problems and the kia dept. needs to get people who know how to fix foriegn vehicles.

Cons: Not Yet
2004 Used Kia Optima EX V6:
Excellent car for the price!
I was very skeptical about buying a Kia, I heard a lot of negative info. about them. I test drove my car on December 31, 2004, and bought it that same day. I was really impressed with how nicely the car seemed to handle the road. It's not a sports car, so get that notion out of your head! It's more like what a Buick or Cadillac feels, very smooth and quiet. I do hear a bit of engine whine when slamming on the gas, but I guess it's working the 2.7 liters really hard. My car has over 71,000 miles and the only thing that has been replaced was the receiver for the door locks and the drive's sid marker light (the little one by itself on the left fender).
This car is an excellent value, I really believe Kia has entered Honda and Toyota kind of quality, but without the brand price penalty.

Pros: Classy looking exterior, excellent build quality, smooth engine.
Cons: Wish either the engine had more MPG or raise the HP to reflect actual MPG (I get 20/25 MPG).
2004 Used Kia Optima LX:
In Canada, it's the Magentis, not Optima, but this app has no Magentis listed
Well built sedan. Kia service dept is bad though. Buy one out of warranty because the warranty is worth the paper it's written on when they don't know how to fix it.
Pros: Low resale (if you are buying). Heated mirrors and other standard features not found on comparables.
Cons: Noisy 2.4L, Kia's service dept.
