| “Jeep” Reviewing:
1999 Used Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr SE 4WD SUV
I liked the interior room; that I could fold the seats down for hauling cargo, that it was easy to get in to & out of - very important for a tall person. It turned on a dime & was incredibly helpful on icy Boston days. Downside was it came from Seattle and had no A/C. Mileage wasn't really an issue, I didn't have a long commute at the time.

1999 Used Jeep Cherokee 4 Dr Classic 4WD SUV
Overall performance is great! est. 190hp and its only 4900lb. so it has great acceleration. It brakes well and evenly. It dosen't handle like a Porche, but who would expect it too? Internally it is a very well built, sturdy vehicle. Transmission shifts well, and it transfers to 4wd smoothly. The engine is great and it runs very well. As for interior trim, it is no luxury sedan but its not ment to be. It gets the job done. It isn't as sound proof as many cars today (the engine is a little loud) but I could care less. Personally I love the boxy looking body and the gray magnesium wheels. Altough some people may prefer a sleeker vehicle. There are so many used '95-'01 cherokees on the market that they are really cheap. Ours has 84,000 miles on it and is in near perfect condition. The best part is that we only payed $5,200. Its not amazing on gas but its not a V8 guzzler. It does about 20 highway and 17 city. It is really fun to drive (you can go WHERE EVER you want too). Overall I am very pleased with this car and will buy another when it meets it's demise.

Its a fun all-purpose vehicle, that is cheap to own!

I haven't found any significant negatives!

1999 Used Jeep Cherokee 4 Dr Sport 4WD SUV
Great vehicle! I have only had one thing go wrong with it in the six years I've owned it. I use it for my family as well all pulling my 17 ft boat but I did have to add heavy duty rear springs. If I were to change anything, I'd lift it and put a small block V8 in it.
Pros —
Reliable and fun to drive. It's a Jeep, it'll go anywhere.
Cons —
A little on the small side and the gpm's could be better.

This is my tank. lifted 7 1/2" with a Rubicon shortarm kit with drop brackets. stock dana 30 front axle and C8.25 rear. both are open carrier so far. also have Rubicon drivelines. the bumpers and rock sliders are custom. the front and rocksliders was made by me and the rear was made by TGIF automotive and doubles as a spare tire carrier. On road the xj is fairly fun. it's extremely easy to drive and the turning radius is amazing. off road is where i worship this jeep at. the amount of flex it has allows me to go places others can't dream of going and i amaze the people who can cause they usually have lockers. i do spend a lot of money on this jeep though. as the saying goes. Just Empty Every Pocket.

great on gas smooth ride and has the power to keep up with todays bigger SUV's even though it's an old I6 slow acceleration good braking and amazing handling

strong motor...great for towing and amazing for winter driving....not so good on the gas mileage but you will be laughing at all the people who are sliding around in their little foreign cars in the winter

Strong motor, small and manuverable so it fits in small spaces, great handling in the winter
Cons —
Gas mileage is not so good.....16/19 MPG

This vehicle does what you want when you want and with out any hassle, it's got more then enough low end tourque for it 3200lbs. body, allowing it to tow twice its wait. Gas mileageis moderate.
Pros —
great amount of tourque, as reliable as a honda, very simple
Cons —
braking is only addequate, big box like profile means for poor aerodynamics, no trunk privacy unless you tint the windows

| “It's Not Gorgeous Or Flashy, But It Is Presentable And Does What It Is Supposed To Do.” Reviewing:

I rather like my car. Like any vehicle it has its quirks of course, but their pretty innocuous. I always thought Cherokees sat a little low and sagged a bit much with any weight in the back, so I made some changes:
Pros —
A pretty solid engine that jeep refined over a period of 20 years. Parts are easy to find in stores and junk yards and it is easy to work on. If it's dirty or noisy you can just say to yourself "meh...it's a Jeep."
Cons —
Plasticy dash board and the occasional rattle and squeak.
