The mileage we've been getting has been fantastic! We took a trip to New Hampshire, 3 1/2 hours, and got 46.7 miles/gal. Around here (combination in-town & highway driving), I've been getting about 40 m/g. |

Absolutely love this car to death..its not the fastest car on the road I know that much but the 2.0T engine can hold its own easily against most cars. I traded in my 2007 Accord for this car and I have not one regret. If youre going to get a Jetta get the 2.0T engine because the 2.5 is not even close.
Pros:
Its quick and looks good and the sound system is wonderful
Cons:
not much at all..gas mileage could be better but its not really that bad at 29 MPG

I have had my Jetta for almost a year now, this being my first car that had a/c it's a real upgrade. Its nice because I can fill it up and drive for hundreds of miles and still have plenty of fuel.

this car has a lot of space... so it is perfect when you have more than 2 friends and want to hang out or something... the acceleration and speed i think is average, but i prefer fastest cars. The handling is impressive, is very difficult to lose control in a car like this one.

cost to trim content isn't very good. Handles like a sports coupe, Huge rear storage. Fuel mileage of a Prius with a much better power and ride comfort. If Nissan, Toyota or Honda had a mid sized diesel I'd cross shop as VW dealers are way too full of themselves.

I love about my car the way that it accelerates and sounds when you do accelerate... I love everything about it from its performance, to its looks and its sound system... It is a very fun car to drive and the best part if it is that it has triptonic!!!

After looking over the rest of the bunch in this class, the TDI offers the best value, and highest performance for the buck. VW touts 47mpg HWY, and 30 City. I've had it just about 30 days now, and with 1,200 miles clocked, the avg. mpg continues to improve daily from the current 33.4 (a/p the read-out). with 236Lbs Feet of Torque, she's peppy enough to keep up with traffic, and make the moves needed on the road. |
