1999 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV
Its a step up from my last car but i liked that one better. it was unique the one is more run of the mill. I wish it was a standard but thats my sacrifice for more refinement. The gas mileage could be better but it is a four wheel drive suv (18mpg). No major repairs while i've had it. The power and acceleration is better that i had at first expected but i wish it could burnout. the automatic 4 wheel drive kicks on at the first sign of slippage. Just started have interior rattles but then again it is almost 10 years old. Not as fun to drive as my 5 speed ranger but it can be fun.

1999 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV
Its a strong truck that we can get in and drive problem free. we have taken it across the country on extreme last minute things and it will go no problem. it has plenty of power and the handling is amazing. the body is in great shape and it gets 20mpg highway. we filled it up with cement when working on our house and it drove through cities and highway like there was nothing in it. over all i could not be more pleased in a car.

Great vehicle. learned to drive on it and compare all other cars to it. Handling is sturdy, needs to take sharp turns slower but that is expected. Easy to do small maintainence but costs a fourtune to take to a shop. Can hit a buck at 50+ mph and only break a headlamp cover.
Pros —
Solid and safe cab. Rides smoothly, If driven right can get up to 20 mpg
Cons —
expensive to fill up, but low cost to buy now.

| “It Is An Okay Car.” Reviewing:
1999 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XL SUV
It is pretty comfy. Has tan swede interior and pearly white paint. runs pretty smoothly. I don't really know how many miles. It gets about 20 miles to the gallon which isn't to shabby. It isn't real fast or slow. Carries 5 people and has a V6 engine. More comfy in back seat than in the front.
Pros —
Comfortable, plenty of room.
Cons —
More comfortable on the back seat than the two front seats.

1999 Used Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT AWD SUV
I love my explorer. It'll take me anywhere i want to go I just put some brand new 31x10.50 BFG All Terrain TA's on it. I have 196 thousand miles on it and it still runs great. It's not fast by any means but it has enough torque to haul my boat or my trailer. i have had to do some work on it. but power steering pumps and ball joints will always always go out any car. the only thing i don't like about it, is the gas mileage. I drove all interstate on one tank of gas and i averaged 14 miles a gallon with the cruise set at 65. and it doesn't have the 5.0 or the 4.6L v8's. i have the 4.0L Over Head Valve V6 . Overall I love the truck

1999 Used Ford Explorer 2 Dr Sport SUV
Did OK but ran into a value issue at 116,000 miles which is pretty bad. My options were replacing both heads for $1,600 + of Marvel Mystery Oil. I choose the latter which got the engine to last another 15,000 miles, but the 'Check engine light is back on and inspection is due... I need a new car and am unlikely to get another Ford after this experience. It's too bad, aside from the engine problems it was a good truck

Engine had problems after only 116,000 miles. I know people with Hondas with over 200,000 miles that can't kill them...

Not bad at first. After first accident it went down hill. Milage was terrible, only 11 MPG.

Good size, not too big not too small. Styling, both inside and out.

Its ok i have had quite a few mechanical problems. It has an awseome sound sytem....well mine does. Its performance is awful, the brakes are decent but nothing special...at all. Im not very happy qith it i love muscle cars so getting this car was insanely dissapointing.
