2005 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 2WD Summary

The high end trim of the rear-wheel drive full-sized pickup is the 2005 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 2WD, which gets active head restraints and a power sliding rear window this year.  Loaded with features, the LE Crew Cab is powered by a 305-hp, 5.6-liter DOHC V8 and 5-speed automatic and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.  Upgrading from the SE, the 2005 Titan LE Crew Cab adds leather upholstery and trim, heated power front seats, power adjustable pedals, a garage opener, and rear audio controls.  On the safety side, parking sensors, automatic headlights, foglights, and auto-dimming rearview mirrors are now standard, joining traction control, a tire monitor, 4-wheel ABS brakes, and dual front airbags.  Side impact bags for both rows can be added.

The Crew Cab has seven more inches in rear legroom, but only a 5.5-foot cargo bed.  A bedliner is not standard alongside the tie-downs, but a cargo cover and bed extension are still optional.  A trailer hitch helps with towing up to 9400 pounds.  Front captain's chairs can be replaced with a bench seat, and rear seats split-fold.  Uniquely on the LE, a sunroof is optional, joining satellite radio, DVD player, and navigation system on the list.  Drivers love the interior room, the V8 power and acceleration response, and the smooth handling unexpected in a pickup truck.  Plastic materials, bad brakes, and gas-guzzling tendencies are downsides.
