2005 Nissan Quest 3.5 S Summary
Formerly the base model of the roomy minivan, the 2005 Nissan Quest 3.5S gets a few more standard features this year to distinguish itself from the lower trim. New this year are a standard roof rack and security system. The passenger sliding door is power-operated (the driver's side is still manual), as is the liftgate and rear quarter windows. A new safety feature is rear parking sensors.
The 2005 Quest 3.5S has a 240-hp, 3.5 liter DOHC V6 engine and 4-speed automatic. Like the base model, it sits on 16-inch wheels and comes with full power features, a trip computer, cruise control, a CD player, front and rear climate control, and a rear window wiper. Like the entire lineup, the 2005 Quest 3.5S offers 4-wheel ABS brakes, dual front airbags and side bags for each row, a tire monitor, and traction control. Both rear rows of seats are bench seats, but captain's chairs can be substituted in the second row. Both rows fold flat for 149 cubic feet of space. Other options are a 2-monitor DVD system, a navigation system, running boards, and satellite radio. Drivers like the roominess, power, and responsive pickup in the 2005 Quest 3.5S, but say there are some rattling issues. The NHTSA gives the 2005 Quest four and five-star crash ratings.
