The ES is one of two Galant models to house the 2.4 liter 145 horsepower inline four.  A four-speed automatic is the only transmission option.  The ES trim adds cruise control, a leather wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry, an anti-theft system and fog lamps.  More options also become available at this level, including a sunroof, heated mirrors, alloy wheels, and a premium Infinity sound system.
