The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD offers four-wheel drive, a 3.7-liter PowerTech V6, five-speed automatic transmission, traction control, and a full-size spare. Additionally, the lower part of the front bumper is removable for added clearance when going off-road. This trim, while entry-level, still offers air conditioning, cruise control, a center console, tachometer, and a trip computer. Heated power mirrors, power windows, and power door locks are also included, as well as remote keyless entry. There’s 8-way power for the driver’s cloth bucket seat as well as lumbar adjustment. A split-folding seat can be found out back. The AM/FM/CD/MP3 player comes with Sirius satellite radio and has additional controls on the tilt/telescoping steering wheel. The Laredo 4WD rolls on 17-inch alloys wrapped in all-terrain tires. A roof rack adds to overall luggage options and a cargo cover, along with rear privacy glass, keeps away those who can’t mind their own business. Variable-intermittent wipers do clean-up duty up front and are teamed with a rear wiper with washer and defogger in the rear.
Safety features for the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD include dual front, front side, and curtain side airbags with rollover sensors, four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist and an anti-skid system, a tire pressure monitor, and a theft-deterrent system.
