2009 Dodge Charger SE

The base ’09 Charger SE five-passenger sedan flexes a bit less muscle than the Dukes of Hazzard used to have. It packs a less-than-impressive (but fuel-efficient) standard 2.7-liter DOHC V6 capable of 178 hp at 5,500 rpm and 190 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. This V6 is managed by a tepid standard four-speed automatic and gets an EPA-estimated 18/26 mpg.

Standard appearance, comfort, and convenience features for the ’09 Charger SE include 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth bucket seats, power accessories, cruise control, air conditioning, tilt-wheel steering, and a 66-watt single-CD player with four speakers. Options with the ’09 Charger SE include the UConnect hands-free communications system and upgraded paint, with more options available in fleet configurations that are unavailable to individual owners. Standard safety features for the ‘09 Charger SE include a passenger occupant-sensing airbag system, four-wheel disc brakes, and child seat anchors, while optional safety offerings for the SE trim include four-wheel ABS, electronic stability control (ESP), and supplemental side airbags.
