2009 Chevrolet Equinox LS

The 2009 Chevrolet Equinox LS, the base trim for the Equinox lineup, is a five-door, five-passenger, front-wheel-drive-only crossover SUV equipped with a 3.4-liter OHV V6 engine capable of 185 hp and 210 lb-ft of torque. This engine, in combination with a standard five-speed automatic, will tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. The ’09 Equinox LS is estimated to get 17/24 mpg using regular unleaded gasoline.

The ’09 Equinox lineup rides on a four-wheel independent suspension, with MacPherson front struts and 16-inch alloy wheels. Standard appearance, comfort, and convenience features for the ’09 Equinox LS include a roof rack, rear spoiler, front cloth bucket seats, MultiFlex sliding rear seats, cruise control with steering-wheel-mounted controls, power windows, doors and mirrors, tilt-wheel steering, a center console with storage, air conditioning, a single-CD/MP3 player with six speakers, satellite radio, OnStar telecommunications service, and a hands-free phone. Options and safety features include black roof-rack crossbars, tinted windows, a Class III trailer hitch, carpeted floor mats, four-wheel ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution, GM’s StabiliTrak traction and stability control, front and rear head airbags, daytime running lights, a remote anti-theft alarm, and the OnStar post-collision safety system.
