2008 Ford F-150 XLT LB Summary
This trim demonstrates that truck drivers value bed length over engine strength. Among the rear-wheel-drive trims, the XLT LB costs a little more than the XL SuperCab, yet it has a 4.2-liter, 202-hp V6 engine, instead of the XL SuperCab's 4.6-liter, 248-hp V8. However, the XLT LB gives you a choice between a standard five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission. And of course, don't forget that this trim sports a 97.4-inch bed, which gives you a foot and a half extra for cargo. Although you can seat only three passengers, you do get more standard features than the XL SuperCab, including air-conditioning, power windows, power door locks, a CD player, and ABS brakes. Traction control is available as an option. You can also upgrade to a 4.6-liter, 248-hp V8 engine or a 5.4-liter, 300-hp V8. The XLT LB can tow up to an impressive 11,000 lbs. Overall, if you want the most towing power and cargo-bed length the F-150 has to offer without breaking the bank, look into the XLT LB.
