This trim comes equipped with a 4.2-liter, 202-hp V6 engine with a standard five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission. The XLT also features one of the most extensive lists of standard features among F-150 trims, including air-conditioning, power windows, power door locks, a CD player, and ABS brakes. Traction control is available as an option. For extra power, you can upgrade to a 4.6-liter, 248-hp V8 or a 5.4-liter, 300-hp V8. Maximum towing capacity comes out to 8,500 lbs. In sum, the XLT offers more standard features than a lot of other F-150 trims, but that's not really saying much.
