The mid-level RX-8 Touring adds several features to those standard on the base Sport trim, including a premium Bose audio system with six-CD changer, a garage-door opener, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a sunroof, foglamps, and xenon headlights. The navigation system is not available with this trim.

The RX-8's 1.3-liter rotary engine can be paired with a either a six-speed paddle-shifting automatic or a six-speed manual transmission. Opting for the manual will bump horsepower from 212 to 232, because the engine redlines at 9,000 rpm instead of 7,500.
