As with all the trims, the 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT2 4WD adds XM satellite radio and side curtain airbags for both rows to its standard equipment this year. The on-demand four-wheel drive comes with low-range gearing and a locking center differential, and an optional off-road package adds skid plates and underbody shielding. Otherwise, the LT2 4WD is the same as the rear-wheel drive, with a standard 4.2-liter, 285-hp DOHC I6 or optional 5.3-liter, 300-hp V8 and standard 4-speed automatic. One of the few SUVs left built on a truck platform (a double wishbone front and rear live axle suspension), the 2008 Trailblazer LT2 4WD rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires and features stability control, a tire monitor, 4-wheel ABS brakes, automatic headlights, foglights, and dual front and side curtain airbags. The LT2 comes with an auto-dimming rearview mirror, unlike the LT1.
Added features with the LT2 4WD include leather seats and trim, a trip computer with wheel-mounted controls, dual-zone climate control, wheel-mounted and backseat audio controls for the CD player, and a compass. There is also an 8-way power driver's seat, three power outlets (two in front, one in back), intermittent front and rear wipers, a remote garage opener, keyless entry, a security system, and OnStar. The 41-80 cubic foot cargo area comes with tie-downs, and a cargo net and cover can be added. A roof rack is standard, as is a trailer hitch if you need to two up to 6600 pounds. On the 2008 Trailblazer LT2 4WD, you can also add a DVD player. Other extras include a sunroof, upgraded audio system, side step rails, larger 18-inch wheels, a power passenger seat, and power adjustable pedals.
