2008 Acura TSX 6-spd

For a sportier feel, the 2008 Acura TSX 6-spd sports sedan trim adds a 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This helps the 205-hp, 2.4-liter DOHC inline four deliver 166 ft-lbs of torque at 4,500 RPM and 0-60 times of 6.6 seconds. Fuel economy averages 19/28 mpg. The front-wheel-drive sports sedan seats four or five in front sport seats and 60/40 split-folding rear seats. There is also an armrest that doubles as a trunk pass-through. The trunk holds 13.2 cubic feet.

The sedan rides on a double-wishbone front and multilink rear suspension, with 17-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires holding the road. Helping things out safety-wise are standard traction and stability control and 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes. Earning four- and five-star crash ratings, the car features dual front-side and side curtain airbags for both rows, with front passenger deactivation. Mirrors with turn signals, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a tire monitor, automatic headlights, foglights, and xenon lamps are also standard.

The emphasis in the 2008 TSX 6-spd is on upscale comfort. Leather covers the seats, and the front seats are both heated and feature an 8-way power driver's seat (with two memory settings) and 4-way power passenger seat. Leather and wood trim decorates the wheel, dash, and doors. Both cruise and audio controls reside on the wheel. A 6-CD changer comes with 8 speakers, an MP3 jack, and six months of satellite radio. Remote entry, intermittent wipers, tilt and telescopic steering, a garage opener, and a compass and temperature readout are other convenience items. A power moonroof gives the feeling of more space and openness. Two 12-volt power outlets are provided up front, as well as four cupholders and a lockable glove compartment. Dealer-installed options include an MP3 player, splash guards, a wing spoiler, and an A-Spec suspension package.
