The "budget" model in the G6 lineup, the 2007 Pontiac G6 1SV sedan is dubbed the Value Leader, but it still comes packed with a sufficient number of convenience and power options beyond what you'd get in most entry-level sedans. The 2007 G6 1SV features a 2.4-liter, 169-hp, DOHC I4 engine and 4-speed automatic. It sits on 16-inch wheels, as opposed to the 17-inch of the base and GT trims. Traction and stability control are only options. 4-wheel ABS brakes are not available at all. Dual front-side airbags, daytime running lights, and dusk-sensing lights are standard.
The 2007 G6 1SV does have power locks, windows, mirrors, and even a 4-way power driver's seat. Air conditioning, tilt and telescopic steering, and a CD player are other features. The bench rear seat split-folds. Gas mileage is a respectable 23/33 mpg. The 17 cubic-foot trunk features tie-downs. The 1SV does not come with many options -- hence, the Value name. Wood trim and carpeted floor mats are about all you can get. Though lacking in some features, the 2007 G6 1SV is praised by owners for its smooth ride and comfort. Some say rear visibility is hampered by the backseat headrests.

The sporty Pontiac G6 comes in sedan form as well, though the base model features a less powerful engine than the GT and GTP. A 2.4-liter, 169-hp DOHC I4 powers the 2007 G6 Base sedan. This is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission only. ABS brakes, traction, and stability control are optional, but the base does come with dual front-side airbags, daytime running lights, and dusk-sensing headlights.
The four door, front-wheel drive sedan does have full power features, including a 4-way power driver's seat and keyless entry. Cruise control (with controls on the steering wheel), tilt steering, air conditioning, and a CD player are also standard. The 2007 G6 Base seats four comfortably, and the back row split-folds for extra trunk room. There are a lot of options to beef up both the power and luxury of the sedan, including the 3.5-liter, 224-hp V6. A sunroof, remote start, heated leather seats, rear spoiler, side curtain airbags, and power passenger seat are all extras. Owners say the ride is smooth, driving is fun, and pickup is good for an I4 engine. The cupholder location is annoying.

The 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe is sporty and fun to drive, and comes well equipped to boot. It is powered by a 3.5-liter, 224-hp V6 engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. ABS brakes, traction control, fog lights, daytime running lights, and dual front-side airbags are standard. In 2007, side-curtain airbags are now standard in the 2007 G6 GT Coupe.
The front-wheel drive coupe features a sports-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler. Full power equipment is standard on the GT Coupe, including a 4-way power driver's seat. Air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry, CD player, and a leather steering wheel and shifter are also nice perks. Audio and cruise controls are found on the steering wheel as well. There are a lot of option packages which add on a four-pane sunroof, OnStar, remote start, stability control, a 6-CD changer, satellite radio, power passenger seat, and wood trim. Drivers like the power and smooth handling, but complain about the cupholder location.

More power and more features are found in the 2007 Pontiac G6 GT sedan, packed with a 3.5-liter, 224-hp DOHC V6 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. The sedan fits four or five adults and sits on 17-inch alloy wheels. ABS and traction control are standard, while stability control is optional. Dual front-side airbags are included, but you'll have to pay more for side-curtain bags, a new option this year. The 2007 G6 GT Sedan also comes with daytime running lights, fog lights, and night-sensing headlights.
Inside th 2007 G6 GT Sedan, you'll find all the power features plus a 4-way power driver's seat and keyless entry. Cruise control is located on the steering wheel along with controls for the sound system. The GT has a CD player and a few more speakers than the base sedan. It also features leather trim on the steering wheel and shifter. For luxury items, check out the option packages. You can get a sunroof, heated leather seats, remote start, satellite radio, power front seats, chrome wheels, and a rear spoiler. The sedan gets some complaints about rear blind spots and a cheap plastic interior.

The 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe gets a new, angrier engine this year, the 3.6-liter, DOHC V6 that hits 252-hp. It is paired with a 6-speed auto tran with shift modes. Unlike the GT, the 2007 G6 GTP Coupe comes with larger 18-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with ABS brakes and traction control, like the GT, but adds stability control as well. Dual front-side airbags are standard and optional side curtains are new this year. Also included are fog lamps, daytime running lights and dusk-sensing headlights.
The four-seater coupe is front-wheel drive. It does not feature a rear spoiler, like the GTP sedan or the GT coupe. Adding to the power features and conveniences of the GT, the 2007 G6 GTP Coupe has a 6-way driver's seat, XM satellite radio, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and automatic climate control. Already standard are cruise control, leather trim, air conditioning, and wheel-mounted audio controls. Options tack on remote start, power-adjustable pedals, OnStar, a sunroof, 6-CD changer, power passenger seats, and heated seats.

The top-end sedan in the G6 offering, the 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP sedan is sporty, fun, and elegantly outfitted. It features a brand new 3.6-liter, 252-hp DOHC V6 engine with 250- lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed automatic is the only available transmission. The GTP carries 18-inch wheels, a sports suspension, and a rear spoiler (there is no spoiler on the GTP coupe). ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control are all standard, along with daytime running lights, fog lights, and dual front-side airbags. Side-curtain airbags are optional. Unlike the GT, the 2007 G6 GTP Sedan also provides a compass on the dash.
Power locks, windows, mirrors, and a 6-way power driver's seat are standard. Also included are automatic climate control, satellite radio, and an 8-speaker audio system (to the GT's six speakers). Controls are on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. Extras add on heated leather seats, remote start, OnStar, power-adjustable pedals, a four-panel folding panoramic sunroof, 6-CD changer, and power passenger seat. Drivers of the 2007 G6 GTP Sedan say shifting is smooth, the ride quiet, and engine power is fun. They like the large sunroof. They would prefer better quality materials on the inside and better gas mileage.

The 2007 Pontiac G6 GT Convertible is a hard-top convertible coupe with the 3.5-liter V6 engine that gets 217-hp (compared to the GT coupe's 224-hp). Like the coupe, it is front-wheel drive and comes only with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It shares most of its features, with the GT coupe, in that it has ABS brakes, fog lights, daytime running lights, dual front-side airbags, and traction control. Stability control, however, is optional. The rear window is glass and the hardtop is power-controlled.
Inside, you'll find power locks, windows, and mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, leather shifter and wheel trim, a tachometer, 4-way power driver's seat, and a 6-CD player. The trunk is small and only holds 13 cubic feet of cargo, but there are tie-downs available. A host of options adds on heated leather seats, OnStar, satellite radio, remote start, side curtain airbags, and the more powerful 3.9-liter, 227-hp V6 with 238 lb-ft of torque. Drivers of the 2007 G6 GT Convertible like the all-weather top and the quiet ride.
