2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4X4

Three rows of seats that fit seven and fold down (including the front passenger seat) for up to 79 cubic feet of space are just the beginning in the 2006 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4X4, a part-time four-wheel drive SUV that rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires.  Though lacking low-range gearing, it features a double wishbone independent suspension, electronic brakeforce, disc brakes and 4-wheel ABS, and traction and stability control.  A 4.0-liter, 270-hp DOHC V6 is matched with a 5-speed automatic.  A tire monitor, foglights, security system, and dual front airbags are all standard, and side impact bags, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and automatic headlights can be added.

The cargo area in the 2006 Pathfinder SE 4X4 comes with a cargo net, tie-downs, and a trailer hitch, and the roof rack provide more storage space.  The rear window opens separately from the liftgate.  Full power features, a power driver's seat, trip computer, intermittent front and rear wipers, wheel-mounted cruise control, and a CD player are all part of the 2006 Pathfinder SE 4X4 package.  New options this year include leather seats and a CD changer.  Other comfort-oriented options are heated seats and mirrors, a power passenger seat, power pedals, sunroof, a DVD player, and satellite radio.  Lots of versatility, lots of power, and easy to handle are highlights for owners, but the 15/23 gas mileage, cramped third row legroom, and limited headroom are minor complaints.
