CarGurus' 1987 Ford F-150 Review

The 1987 Ford F-150 was a new breed of truck entirely.  Power and safety were key elements of the line's redesign; the 87 Ford F150 was the first pickup to be offered with standard antilock brakes, and fuel-injection technology was expanded to the 4.9 liter straight-six as well as the 5.0 Windsor V-8.  

The look of the 1987 Ford F150 changed, too, as part of the redesign of the F-Series.  Sleeker lines and a more aerodynamic aesthetic were the hallmark.  The 87 Ford F-150 was available in XL, XLT, and XLT Lariat trims, with extended-cab supercab and 2-door cab options.  

Owners swear by the rugged durability of these workhorse trucks.  You'll find the extended-bed models working hard on ranch and farm, and plenty of the short-bed versions going off-road for 4-wheeler fun.  They're still popular with tuners, and with anyone looking for a powerhouse that just keeps going and going and going...
