2012 Chevrolet Traverse 1LT AWD Trim Overview

Take the already well-endowed 2012 Chevy Traverse mid-level 1LT trim, throw in standard full-time all-wheel drive, and you get the Traverse 1LT AWD. This handsome and practical crossover boasts seating for 8 in 3 rows, 116 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, 18-inch alloy wheels, a roof rack and a rear spoiler, just for starters. Then there’s standard premium cloth upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, simulated alloy cabin accents, reclining second-row seats and all power accessories, including heated power-adjustable outside mirrors and remote power door locks. Front and rear air conditioning are also standard, as are rear parking sensors and cruise control, with steering-wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls. Finally, an MP3-capable single-CD player with 6 speakers is augmented by satellite radio and OnStar Directions and Connections service.

Standalone options available with the 2012 Traverse 1LT AWD include a power sunroof, rear-seat entertainment, Bluetooth hands-free communications and second-row captain’s chairs, which reduce passenger capacity to 7. Finally, a mechanical, limited-slip center differential manages the full-time AWD system, and available towing equipment will allow this hefty ute to haul up to 5,200 pounds of trailer.

Safety-wise, Chevy’s crafty crossover carries 4-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), traction and stability control, front side-mounted airbags and 3-row head airbags. Daytime running lights also come standard, as do OnStar emergency services and alerts, a post-collision safety system and a remote antitheft alarm.
