The Quadra-Trac I channels power from a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which develops 280 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Antilock brakes, electronic stability control, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Roll Mitigation, and Trailer-Sway Control all come standard. The Grand Cherokee Laredo sits on a Mercedes-inspired platform and rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Completely redesigned for 2011, the Grand Cherokee Laredo displays a streamlined, aerodynamic look, with recessed door panels, a low bodyline, and a raked-back roofline. Standard exterior features include automatic quad headlights, 4-inch front foglights, a seven-slot chrome grille, bright chrome molding around the side windows, and soundproofing in the wheel wells and undercarriage to ensure a quiet ride. The Grand Cherokee's roomy cabin includes such standard features as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with four-way lumbar adjustment, leather-trimmed door and center armrests, and a six-speaker Media Center AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with Sirius satellite radio and voice command capability. Other standard interior features include cloth bucket seats, a fold-flat front passenger seat, dual-zone air-conditioning with air filtering, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and illuminated cupholders.
