2011 Chevrolet Traverse LS AWD Trim Overview

As its name implies, the eight-passenger 2011 Chevrolet Traverse LS AWD midsize crossover features traction-friendly all-wheel drive (AWD). Packing all the bells and whistles of its front-wheel-drive (FWD) sibling, this eight-passenger mini-‘ute uses a mechanical, center-mounted limited-slip differential to provide power to all four wheels, all the time. Needless to say, all options and safety features also mirror those of the FWD LS, including 116 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded.

The 2011 LS AWD packs the ubiquitous 281-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine and six-speed auto-manual transmission. This matchup nets some 266 lb-ft of torque that’s good enough to tow up to 5,200 pounds of trailer with the available tow package. The EPA, meantime, estimates 16/23 mpg.
