Overview of 2009 Chevrolet HHR SS Panel By Michael Perkins
Because just getting there isn’t enough, the 2009 Chevrolet HHR SS comes in a Panel trim, for those who need to get there fast. This front-wheel-drive compact wagon deletes the rear seats for delivery companies that feel they need a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine to haul stuff. Truthfully, they might be right, as the other two available engines have performed with less than stellar results under load. With a five-speed manual, traction control, a custom sport suspension, and 18-inch alloys, delivery can be a lot of fun, and with foglights and a rear spoiler, you’ll look good, too. The AM/FM/CD/MP3 player has a digital media connection, satellite radio, and integrated controls on the leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel. The 8-way power driver’s bucket and fold-flat passenger seats come in cloth. Remote start and keyless entry are joined by power mirrors, windows, and locks, all standard. One year of OnStar is included, as is Bluetooth, air conditioning, cruise, variable-intermittent wipers, a rear defogger, a center console, an automatic day/night rearview with compass, and floormats. Safety features include four-wheel antilock disc brakes with anti-skid, dual front and curtain-side airbags, a tire pressure monitor, and daytime running lights.
This overview covers the SS Panel trim only.
