2006 Infiniti M35 x AWD Trim Overview

Intelligent all-wheel drive automatically delivers torque to the wheels that need it in the 2006 Infiniti M35x. The system is not meant for off-roading. It also reduces fuel economy from the 280-hp, 3.5-liter DOHC V6 to 17/24 mpg. The engine features variable valve timing and is matched to a 5-speed shiftable automatic. An independent double wishbone front and multilink rear suspension provide smooth handling, while the 18-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires (and full-size spare) maintain road grip.

The sedan seats four. Rear passengers get a fold-down armrest and 37 inches of legroom. A 15 cubic foot trunk comes with tiedowns and a net. A full power setup includes power front seats with driver's memory settings, a sunroof, power tilt and telescopic steering, and remote entry and push-button start located on the key fob. Wheel-mounted cruise, audio, and phone controls offer added convenience. The much praised sound system features a 6-CD changer with MP3 playback. Satellite radio and a DVD player cost extra. Leather upholstery, leather and wood trim, a trip computer, an anti-theft system, a tachometer and temperature display, and intermittent wipers are also standard. Options add on a navigation system, rear climate control, heated and cooled seats, and a rear spoiler.    

The safety equipment is as extensive as the comfort features. Traction and stability control are standard, along with 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution. Dual front-side airbags have passenger deactivation, and there are side curtain bags for both rows. Automatic halogen lamps, foglights, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror help with night driving. Xenon lamps can be added. A tire monitor, mirrors with turn signals, and rain-sensing wipers provide added security. The 2006 M35x also features a first aid kit. Some technologically advanced options include adaptive cruise control, adapative headlights, a rearview camera, and a warning system when the car starts to drift out of its lane.
