CarGurus Overview
A lot more features and a front-end update top the list of changes to the 2006 Infiniti FX45 STD. This all-wheel drive luxury crossover SUV has a sports suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires, and a powerful 320-hp, 4.5-liter, 32-valve DOHC V8 engine with a 5-speed shiftable automatic transmission. Its all-wheel drive comes with a center differential, and safety features include 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, dual front, front-side, and side curtain airbags, foglights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and traction and stability control. Added this year are a standard rearview camera and automatic xenon headlights. Available options include a tire-pressure monitor and intelligent cruise control with a lane-detection system.
Previously optional and now standard on the 2006 FX45 STD are a sunroof, Bluetooth, a remote garage-door opener, and a cargo net and cover for the 27-cubic-foot cargo area, which expands to 65 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Power front seats get more settings (10-way for the driver, 8-way for the passenger) and driver's memory features. A full power setup, 6-CD changer/MP3 player with standard Bose sound system, heated mirrors, plush heated leather seats, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, intermittent front and rear wipers, and automatic climate control are included. Gauges now feature electroluminescence, and front and rear cupholders and power outlets are scattered throughout. Brushed-aluminum and real wood trim dress up the interior. A rear spoiler and new chrome grille on the outside identify the 2006 FX45 as a sports crossover. Options include a DVD player, satellite radio, and navigation system.
