After struggling with other dealers and their games. Asked for a simple transparent and honest transaction. Started talking at 2pm via email. Made a decision by 4om via email. Drove an hour and was in and out with new vehicle within 45 minutes including test drive. This group understands how to handle business.

I felt salesperson tried to pressure me with false statements. Previous owner supposedly almost cried trading it in, another person was going to buy truck in 4 hours if I didn't. I walked away. Truck still there three weeks later

Great dealership, immediately after purchase unfortunately the water pump and fan went out. Even after no warranty they towed it back to the dealership, replaced both, and brought it 100 miles to us for free. Definitely took care of us!

Quick response via email and friendly. They didn't mention the dog damage and broken/missing levers in the truck when asked about condition of interior. They also didn't offer to fix/compensate for dog damage or broken/missing levers. Salesman made excuse he didn't know the vehicle (that they'd had for a month, and I had scheduled a test drive for). I went to another dealership.

I went to drive this vehicle called to make sure that the car was available. I told Dave how long I would be. Dave was not waiting for my arrival and nobody at the dealership was willing to contact him. The car was described as being amazing, which it was not. It was missing parts and had an extreme amount of corrosion. When I brought this to Dave's attention he then went on to tell me that's what happens when cars are this old. There is no price listed for the vehicle. I called two different times and got two different prices. If I were to do business with the dealer I would make sure that I get everything in writing before arriving.

Salesman didnt know about all the eletrical issues with the power/heated seats on the tahoe. Nor did he know about the non working a.c. , about the only thing he knew was the price. I learned all this information from talking to a younger salesman when i was trying to setup a time to buy the vechile. After learning of the multiple issues and non disclosure from the first salsman i declinced buying it at any price. He informed me that others were coming to look at the tahoe that day, I hopè they were informed of the problems and not just rushed to buy that piece of junk!

Initially very helpful. But after discovering their description of the vehicle and the actual comdition did not ,arch (they didn't disclose several major issues the car has) I requested a video walk around. That was 6 days ago and they have never responded. They were chomping at the bit to sell me the car when I didn't know everything that was wrong. Once I requested the video walk around (which at first they gladly said they would do) they just stopped all communications with me and ceased to respond. Very poor customer service.

Overall I thought Royal South was professional and courteous. The vehicle was accurately described in the ad. A little bit of haggling on price and trade in value as to be expected. Everything was processed efficiently and quickly. No complaints. I think we were both happy with the transaction.

After searching for several weeks, found this Jeep online and negotiated a deal prior to making the 3+ hour drive to Bloomington. Deal was contingent on my trade and Jeep meeting all expectations set verbally on the phone. Vehicle was on their lot 100+ days as it was overpriced so they were motivated to move it. Once getting to the dealership, we found the vehicle did not have a backup camera as advertised. Not the end of world, but disappointing. Test drove great, completed transaction. On the way home, realized it didn’t have navigation as advertised either...now I’m a bit frustrated (didn’t notice during the test drive as we stayed local to dealer). With these missing features, I called the dealer back to see if they would accommodate anything to compensate for their inaccurate listing. Then I was accused of trying to get a “better deal” by the general manager after the fact. More disappointment in the integrity of the process. The only offer I was made was to “unwind” the deal, an offer that was ONLY available the day we discussed, meaning I had to travel 3+ hours (one way) to return the purchase and get back my trade. After pointing out how impractical that solution was based on my hospital work schedule, they offered to send a driver up to get the vehicle. Who wants to do that after shopping for a vehicle for weeks and going through the entire process? Instead of accepting my offer to share the cost of a GPS unit, they wanted to pay someone to drive 6-7 hours and provide gas for all those miles (about the same cost as my suggestion above). It’s a lot of time invested, so I decided to keep it and purchase the features separate on my dollar - even though the deal I negotiated was supposed to include those features. Of course mistakes happen...I’ve made them before. I don’t believe the inaccurate listing was intentional, but if you read other reviews, this has happened a few times. Be cautious with your transaction. Don’t assume the dealer is thorough, considerate of your time, and accurate because they do this everyday. And be ready to walk away from the deal even if you had to drive a considerable amount to get there. It might not be exactly what you thought it was.

This is Andy, the General Manager of the dealership.  It's my family's store--has been since 1969.  I don't often respond to negative reviews like this, as I think it gains me little.  The general public is somewhat distrustful of car dealers, and as someone who will be in this business, Lord Willing, the rest of my life, I want to try and improve every customer's impression of my industry.  I don't bicker or contest a customer's review because that comes off as petty.  If we made a mistake, I'll own it and try to make the customer happy.

Everyone we dealt with at Royal South from the internet manager, Michael, to our salesperson, Justin, to the customer relations manager, Mark and everyone in between were very helpful, very friendly, and made our experience there a very positive one. Royal South could not have been better to work with. I live 200 miles away, so I first dealt with Andy by email and phone. He was very helpful and professional. When I arrived at the dealership, Larry showed me the truck and he was equally helpful. Dealing with the folks at Royal South is worth the drive.

Easiest car purchase ever! Dealership responded immediately to my questions. Negotiations were easy and all by email. I knew sticker versus invoice prices and the manager was reasonable from beginning. When I arrived at the dealership it was just a matter of completing paperwork. No super strong-arm sale pitch for the aftermarket warranties, either. I drove two hours away for this car after I was lied to by a local dealer salesperson and I'm glad I did. When I'm in the market for my children, if we are looking at Toyota's, I would consider driving two hours away again!

Great people to work with. I will definitely go back if I need anoher car. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of 2 things: First, they didn't tell us they didn't have a second set of keys and fob until after we signed the documents. They said they will try to get the 2nd set, but I have not heard back. And second, we didn't even notice there were no mats until after we had purchased it. It would have been nice to have the mats. Or to have been told there are no mats.

The dealership responded quickly each time and answered multiple questions. We ended up buying the vehicle. They worked with us to bring the price within our budget and to overcome an issue with access to funds on a Saturday so we could drive it home that day and not have to come back. Since we had driven for two hours to look at it, we were relieved to not have to make a second trip to finalize the sale. Justin Bonner was our salesman, but the entire team worked to make the sale happen.

Salesman (Joel) was friendly and polite. I was only able to get over there on a week night after work (I left work early and drove 45 minutes to get there) for a test drive before they closed at 6. Guy in the back office (manager of some type I believe) gave me the dirtiest look after returning from a test drive. I returned the vehicle along with the salesman just before they closed but I definitely DID NOT feel welcome. Began initial negotiation on price. Salesman Joel had to get back with me on price match of almost identical vehicle. They wouldn't even try to budge. Basically, they over-extended themselves on what they gave for the vehicle on trade in the first place and as a result whoever purchases the vehicle will pay for their mistake. If you're an educated consumer, don't go here and expect to negotiate.

Quick response, polite, professional. Have not yet purchased a vehicle from this dealer, but would not hesitate to do so. Feel that I would be treated with honesty, respect and that pricing would be fair.

Asked to be advised of any known issues before we drove an 1 1/2 hours to see the car. Was told that the car had slight smell of cigarettes. That was all. Tires were bald, cigarette smell made my eyes tear, crack in windshield.

HORRIBLE experience. We drove an hour to look at a truck that they guaranteed had passed service inspections and was in good working order. We test drove the truck and everything went okay. We negotiated and applied for financing. They ran my credit 6 times! Then, because the banks were closed they told us we knew we would get financed so we could go ahead and drive the truck home and come back the next day to sign paperwork. We drove it about 2 miles off the lot and the engine overheated and the radiator was spewing everywhere. Come to find out, the truck had NEVER been through their service department yet they had time to clean it and spray underneath with oil to conceal rust. After several attempts to rectify the situation with them, they have ignored me completely and still had the truck listed for the same price despite known problem. SHADY DEALER. I would be VERY CAUTIOUS buying a used vehicle here.

We did call the dealership after getting no response to the email request. They had the car; their internet price was so good that we bought the car for the asked for 15,358. We've never done that before.
