I could write you a small novel on the experience my fiance' and myself had with Independence Ford of Bloomsburg, because it was a few week experience. In the end we wound up purchasing the vehicle we wanted from the dealership, but will NEVER consider shopping there ever again nor encouraging others to do so either. If not for the finance manager, Mike getting us a great rate and being the only positive aspect of the dealership, we never would have purchased the car in the end. So to be straight forward and honest while still hitting on all cylinders about this dealership, I will highlight for you a few key elements without the small novel involved. a) Only positive aspect of the dealership as noted above is Mike, the finance manager. He does his job extremely well and from the experience I can say he honestly goes all out to secure you the best payment, lowest interest rate, and treats you with kindness and respect. A true professional in every sense of the word. b) If even after reading this review you still decide to pursue a vehicle from this dealership then by all means choose any sales person EXCEPT for Donna. She starts off sweet and then once she feels you are a sure thing, she is totally unprofessional in many ways. We experienced everything from her text messaging my fiance' and acting as if she was the finance manager (until my fiance' called the finance manager and he stated he NEVER sent one single text, that it was Donna) to her being rude to us during the test drive of the Ford Fusion we purchased, to being irritatingly pushy and not listening to anything you say to her. Sadly enough I have to admit that of all the sales people I have dealt with in over 30 years of purchasing vehicles, she is the ONLY one that I ever met that had attitude instead of personality. c) MAKE SURE you go over every single aspect of the vehicle you are purchasing, especially if it is a used vehicle. The car we purchased from this dealership was a one owner car bought there new and only ever serviced there as well. Since the vehicle was 7 years old and only ever taken to this particular Ford dealership during that time, you would think they would know the car. NOPE!! They had just SUPPOSEDLY gone over the entire vehicle before putting it on the lot for sale, including having it pass a state and rigorous inspection. Can only say that considering the many faults I found when going over the vehicle before test driving it, the service department is HORRIBLE! Front marker light was out (yet it passed inspection, so that was a red flag to start with!), fluids were not at the specified levels, air filter needed to be replaced, cd changer was in operable, and the windshield washer fluid container was filled............with water!!! I won't go into any further detail because I think you can see from just those few things, the service department here pays NO attention to basics, let alone detail. d) Bill, the General Manager is absolutely the worst GM I have ever dealt with. He had no people skills whatsoever. When the problems with the Fusion were brought to his attention he came out of his office and raised his voice in displeasure. On the phone, he is no better at all. If you bring up FACTS, and he does not like it, he gets easily aggressive in tone. In trying to keep this review short as possible, I will leave you with the fact that even during the signing of the papers to secure the vehicle, he did not greet us when we walked into the dealership, during the signing of the papers, or any time between. I have purchased 56 vehicles in my lifetime and this is the very first GM that was not part of the transaction or thankful for having purchased a vehicle from his dealership. As we were getting in the vehicle to drive home he came over to us, shook our hands, and wished us 'Good Luck' with our purchase. In closing, I have to give this dealership a 1 star rating due to how horrible they are as an entire entity. I would not even give Independence Ford of Bloomsburg 1 star except for the fact that Mike the finance manager did a supreme job. Hopefully the dealership's owner(s) will take note of this review and if they do nothing else, they keep it in the back of their thoughts and ask themselves, "If I had better employees, how many more vehicles could I be selling?". We purchased a vehicle there this once. However, after how we were treated overall, WE WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN!

Donna the sales person was outstanding, so was the vehicle prep. Person. I would recommend anyone to stop by Independence Ford.

We purchased this Pilot from Independence Ford. It was an all around great experience. They were knowledgeable and up front about the car. We absolutely love it. We would emphatically recommend this dealership.

Best experience I've had buying a vehicle. Salesperson worked hard to find the right truck for my needs and was very helpful. Introduced me to the service department and the people are so nice. Just a great overall experience. I definitely recommend! !!!

I didn't receive a response immediately from my email, so I called and asked about the vehicle. The man I spoke to said there was some damage to it and it did have high mileage. I thanked him and told him I wasn't interested in that vehicle. A few days later I received information in an email as a response to my original email inquiry from a woman but it didn't specify that their was damage to the vehicle. She just wanted me to tell her when I would be up to test drive it and to make sure I asked for her. I told her based on the high mileage I was no longer interested.

not a good experience at all.one of my concerns about the Toyota highlander I was interested in was did the highlander have a timing belt or timing chain. The sales manager bill and someone else in his office assured me it was a timing chain and did not have to be changed. the next day my sales person donna told me it was a belt, that she googled it to find out. the sales mngr. bill totally mislead me on that. He told me it was a chain and did not have to be changed. then I come to find out it is a belt and should have been changed at 80,000 miles. then when they did a KBB trade in price for my car they left out that my car had navigation and a back up camera and the safety connect. to try to lower the price of my trade in. Then they gave me a price on my trade and the next day tried to tell me that the guy that gave me the price on my trade was in trouble because they gave me too much money for my car and didn't want to take it now ...this all went on for over a week. When I asked what was taking so long they told me that bill the sales mngr. had to talk to a couple of people about my car but they were both on vacation. my sales person donna would text me instead of calling me direct. how unprofessional is that. this place is very unprofessional and I would not recommend it to anyone. beware!
