Even though they're the highest volume dealership in the area, they have a large and accommodating team to support it. I didn't end up purchasing the vehicle but my sales agent made the test drive experience informative and casual without selling pressure.

I went in with my fiancé to get him a used car because his finally crapped out on us. We were there for hours as they ran my credit & all our bank statements said we would qualify but for whatever reason they had us come back to tell us we had to front more money so we wasted 2 trips and honestly believe they wrote us off to sell the car to someone else. Now I need a new car for me and honestly I would be another client b/c there is a car I like there and want to buy this week but because of the disgust I have with them I don’t want to go back! I have purchased a brand new car before and paid it off! I don’t care if my credit may not be above average but we bought another car and have been paying twice the amount on payments on his car since we got it from somewhere else so unless I speak to a general manager I am going to buy another car for me from another company which I found one I like in Clermont. But this time with the time & effort we spent last time better get a good deal!

I was coordinating with one of the salesman who did not meet when I went there. Other salesman and manager were really good. I liked a another car and started following up. Finally when we agreed to a price and I almost reached there, I received a text saying Car is sold. They could have informed me earlier and not when I left to buy. Salesman did not put another offer like anyother salesman who wants to sell would do. Not Happy. Will not come back to them.

Some times the old stories of used car dealers come rushing back into your head... that’s what happened here, I went to look at this 2011Prius with 30K miles and no accidents. But some how, whenI got to the dealer the car had 54K miles and the back right fender was hanging loose (no accidents?), the salesman couldn’t explain the mileage difference, but I think I can, it got me to come into the dealership. When I asked about the damage, he said, that Carfax hadn’t reported any accidents, well ok, but their eyes couldn’t see the damage I saw? They just used Carfax as an excuse, come on, be honest. But maybe from their point of view, they did their job, they got me to waste my time and come to their lot. I really expected more from David maus, just be careful if you choose to look at one of their cars. If it had been an honest mistake, I would have thought that a manager or someone, anyone would have called me to try and make it right, but that didnt happen.

This dealer has a van that is over priced and does not include a factory warranty from what I have researched this van retails for this price with a factory warranty in my home area I spoke to the dealernand they stated they don't usually sell their used cars with Toyota certifications but if i want it would cost 800 to 1000 extra also

Bought the car! Sales folks knowledgeable...tried to nickel and dime...$600 for window tint? On a used car? Ok...scrape it off..... Extra for floor mats? Ok....go to Wal Mart....!! All the "negotiating" takes hours..... Sales folks pleasant though....

Salesman responded. Told me auto was on the market. So I went to dealership and was left to sit in customer lounge while they got the keys. Sat there for 30 minutes without a response from sales team. Left without getting to test drive auto. Salesman responded later saying they were giving me an "exclusive" offer which was just untrue. The offer was the same one anyone could get. Over all, the dealership employees were rude (left us sitting in customer lounge for 30 minutes), deceptive, and just bad. Would never buy from them! No, thanks!

This car is listed as 0 accidents which is a lie. This car has been hit twice with visible damage. My father and I drove an hour to this place just to find out if this car had active damage. David Maus Toyota in Sanford let us down beyond words. I would not recommend this location for anyone.

Dealer posted a truck for sale that was an unbelievable deal. We called and spoke to them several times. Once we decided to go see the truck, we were told it sold several days earlier (prior to our conversations). Though they had trucks for several thousand more. Typical sleazy bait and switch.

Make, color, description and price looked perfect! We were told the car was still available and drove to Maus. Then waiting over an hour for salesman who was with another customer (no problem) he requested another to get the car for us to see but the car was NEVER located....Needless to say after the long drive there and the tiring wait, we were we were extremely disappointed :(

Receptionist, salesman and finance manager were fine; everything else was unsatisfactory. I'm surprised anyone would want their name on this dealership. We had a deal done in 40 minutes, but it took another 2 hours to get the vehicle ready! They tried to charge a $1K inspection fee for work they should have done to sell the vehicle anyway. Their dealer fee is outrageous--$1.5K if I remember correctly. They initially would not accept NADA values for the trade-in. There is zero service culture in this showroom as we saw when a manager made eye-contact with us, saw we were frustrated, and THEN TURNED AWAY! No one even offered water or coffee the whole time there. They gave us only a half tank of gas. No follow-up call from the dealer either. The physical product is also old and dated. I do not recommend anyone buy from this dealership.

I found a couple things that I thought was wrong with the car, the rear interior of the SUV was all scratched and the floor cover was also very marked up. There was gum on the rug between the second seat and third seats. One of the rubber bumpers on the hood was missing and a scratch on the front bumper appeared to be touched up with one of the over the counter paint bottles. This to me was all unexceptable on a vehicle that was priced at over $50,000.00. Plus the frame on the rear of the Cadillac Esclade was scratched as though it was bottomed out or something hit it.

Not good at all. They tacked on more fees than what they told me over the phone. Plus they explained to me I had to get the tint package, cup holder sealant and door jams because they purchased it for this car even though they have not been installed yet. Who wants their cup holders sealed? As a result I left with nothing.

Maybe I don't understand how internet shopping and pricing work. I did my research through the NADA, BBB, and even went so far as to research the Hearst's Black Book. I felt that I had done my homework. I also looked at comparable values from around the area. But, the salesperson, and manager, at the dealership treated me like someone who was not sincere about making a purchase. They wanted to add cosmetic treatments to the car finish and interior ((a 21 year old car!) that were totally unnecessary. I understand the necessity to maintain a proper profit margin...but on a car this age? Surely the profit is spread across the entire inventory, some more, some less, to achieve a good balance. So that all understand, I was a Senior Finance Manager in the Lincoln-Mercury division of the Ford Motor Company. I understand the automobile business very well. I earned my way up in the business from a sales trainee on the sales floor. To have insulted me, as a normal customer, by offering the car for basically only full price, is not how the business works. This is especially true in the used car portion of the business, Not listening to the customer, and poor negotiation skills will always give the same result....no sale. I wish I could say some positive things about my experience at David Maus Toyota. Some things that I could share with my friends. I will rate it at one star as the salesperson was on time for the appointment.

I made an appointment on Tuesday or Wednesday to come Friday after work to buy this vehicle cash. On Thursday, they email to tell me it sold, and didn't even offer to get me into something else. Wouldn't waste my time here.

I drove 90 minutes to the dealer. The day before I had explained in detail the price and pay't I needed to get to in order to trade. When I arrived the person that showed us the vehicle we ere interested in was very nice and knowledgeable. When we went in to discuss figures, I was told the pay't wanted to get to was not possible and it was going to be over $100.00 per month more than I was told just over 12 hours before was possible. That added up to over a $7,200.00 difference. I was told that it was because my trade-in(which I had sent several pic's of it to them& told them every flaw it had) was not worth what I had thought it was. The problem with that story is I had only thought it was worth $2000, .00. They never could explain where the other $5000.00 + was coming from. I was told that because I had not traded vehicles lately, that I did not understand. I do understand numbers and I do understand when someone tells me that they can't see any reason I can't by the vehicle I want at the offer I was making, and inviting me to drive on over and let them put me in the vehicle if my choice. I now understand the bait and jerk the customer game that is played their.

Guys, these people lie. First, this car has been sold. When I contacted them, they said "we have it. Do you want to test drive?" I said " yes" so I took an appointment. When I was going on my way over there. 5 minutes before the appointment. They called me told me the car has sold. (Before 5 mins) I was very mad because I drove about 47 to get to the place. I said "when is the car sold." They said " 2 days ago" I told them it is still up on the website that I saw it on. So what this dealer does put cars on website which are not available in the location. It is just to bring people to the place. There was 3 cars on the website which are not in store. Second, they have to test drive a car. The car was broken and the engine light was on. Don't ever even think to go there

Salesman was quite pleasant and proactive in following up my interest in a particular vehicle, He communicated effectively and was thorough and informative about the product. I survived the encounter with "turnover" staff who did their best to convince me that the "deal" was good, but, in the end, I was not convinced and walked. I did not feel unduly badgered during negotiations which I would characterize as "moderate pressure". I take away one star for not providing privacy for customer during negotiations (all conversation took place in the public waiting area) and one star for failing to progress the close (extended discussion with no written counter offer and graceless dismissal). To his credit, Salesman seemed aware of the damage and attempted to reset the stage for possible future business.
