Salesman doesn't act like a salesman. The whole deal was strictly determined by the finance people. They should have been the ones who were at the table talking instead. Sales people should know if they can or can't make out of state financial deals. Sales never not once tried to make a deal. All prices on a the price listed is negotiable. When you say we won't let money stand in the way of a deal. That doesn't mean 100 bucks, that neglable and you'll never see it. This place is a joke and only think of how much money they can screw you out of

Not good at all. Offered me 2500 for my car wanted me to put 8000 down on a 17000 dollar van.Went to my friend who is a dealer and he gave me almost 6 for the car and only 2000 down and put me in a nicer Buick Enclave. They will rip you off. Con Artist.

The sales rep who initially contacted me was not available at the time we originally set, but arranged for another gentleman to keep the appointment with me. (Truth be told, I believe the substitute rep was a young rookie being tested from afar.) He drove the two of us to the Camry I'd seen listed on CarGuru.com -- because the Cavender lot is HUGE -- and pulled it out from the line of vehicles. He pointed out its features as we sat inside it, allowed me to take photos and then I got behind the wheel and took it for a test drive. During the drive, the rep continued to point out features of the car and answer questions I asked. Afterwards he was thorough and attentive to the information I provided, recalculating payments based on my "what if" questions. Overall it was a positive experience and I purchased the Camry. In hindsight there are only 2 things that prevent me from saying I am a DELIGHTED Cavender customer instead of being simply satisfied. Neither stopped me from the purchase, but they did give me pause. 1) Because I did not trade a vehicle for the Camry, I was forced to leave the vehicle I drove to the dealership in Cavender's parking lot overnight. A courtesy after-sale escort service would have been nice. 2) There is a very small spot near the right headlight where the paint is chipped. Though I pointed it out to the sales rep several times, he never offered to tend to it or have it looked at. Instead he said I could contact the Cavender service department to see if they could help me. In my opinion, he could have asked this of the service department himself and, at the very least, offered a container of the matching paint needed or determined the most cost-effective place to get one. By leaving that task to me, he fell short of ensuring a perfect sale.

They had the car I thought I wanted; allowed me to test drive and be sure my kayak fit in it. Went back and negotiated a very good deal in under 15 minutes finished paperwork in about 30 minutes (including trade-in) Left with new (pre-certified) car with extended warranty. Robert & Len were AWESOME! Best car experience I have ever had.

First of all the salesperson I had made an appointment with told me he was busy with someone else when I arrived, so he handed me off to another salesperson. I test drove a Lexus Ct 200h, but felt there was not enough legroom. Then I decided to test drive a 2016 Prius. There were 4 models that were being offered at a clearance price. They were all being offered at the same price even though the mileage was not the same and there was some damage of varying degrees (from scratches on the rear bumper to a small dent). Well, I settled on one that had a few small scratches and only about 16,000 miles on it. When the salesperson went to ask for the keys, he came back and told me that someone else was already buying it. Of course the only one that was left by that time was the one with 22,000 miles and a dent in the fender. I felt it was not fair for them to ask the same price for a car with 7,000 more miles and more damage to the body. They said it would only cost $250 to repair the damage. Yet they wouldn't even take that off the price of the car. They didn't advertise these cars as having damage on the website which I think is a very deceptive practice. Needless to say, I did not do business with them and will not do business with them in the future.

No stars sales manager and salesman were shady people. After I expressed to them that I had my own bank to handle financing, they tried to up the price extremely high on the car, so they can run my credit and use their financing instead to pocket more money. Found another dealership who worked perfect for me and assisted me perfectly. I would not recommend Cavender to my worst enemy.

Because of circumstances beyond my control I will revisit my purchase of a vehicle on a later date and will truly contact Cavender Toyota when I am ready to begin my purchase yet again.

First of all, this dealership was very busy with customers which is a good sign that they might be doing something right. We were greeted by Mike Gutierrez and he showed us immediately the vehicle we had come in to look at. It didn't take long to get us in to do some numbers on the vehicle. We were disappointed in the trade in value we received on our vehicle as we knew what others listed were going for, but the price of the new vehicle was so low we couldn't pass it up. Was a trade off that we eventually settled on and purchased the vehicle. It has been a very good experience with this dealership....

I was contacted by Mr. Martin Perea instantly and he was very professional. He also sent us pictures of the vehicle of interest in a timely way. We live in West TX and wanted to make sure our commute to San Antonio, TX to buy a vehicle was worth our time. The entire staff at Cavender Toyota Pre owned department was very friendly, courteous and professional. Their manager Reuben is a great guy also. The dealership was great to work with ! Cavender even offers a 6 month warranty on all transmission, and engine work up to 6,000 miles. They steam cleaned professionally my 2010 Sierra for me so it look like new. The 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 SL Ext. Cab fit the description and picture accurately.

These people don;'t know how to converse without using standard pre-written directions or instructions. They tell me money will not be in the way of buying this vehicle but in return will not accept my offer. They want me to travel over 650 miles without coming to a final price to purchase this car. I would buy in right now for 19400.00 and would travel the 650 miles to pick it up if they would just agree to it. I have talked with two different people and both salesman said the exact same words, word for word. Thanks, if you want to deal, I am ready but will be on my terms. I had an idea of the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. I just needed to test drive between two models. However, before a drive was possible, the finance department needed much of my personal and financial info. I explained that I had already been pre-approved, yet they did not relent. A test drive was eventually made possible, but their inventory did not include the particular trim I was interested in. I could deal with the paperwork, but not a wait in the vehicle to be delivered to their lot.

Extremely unprofessional. I was prepared to buy the car and the salesperson demanded that I travel to their dealership (in another city) before they would take a deposit or hold the car for me. I asked if I could do a deposit over the phone (so I didn't travel to another city and not end up buying a car!) and the salesperson became sarcastic, condescending and unprofessional. This dealership may boast low prices but it's no wonder since they do their best not to sell the cars! Avoid this dealership and shop elsewhere.

I'd like to give Cavender Toyota a 5 star rating, but I cannot. When my husband and I set up our appointment, we informed the salesmen that we had a very important doctor's appointment that afternoon. When we tried to leave to be on time to the physician's office, we were told the car could not be held for us, even though we gave our word, our intent, and a $500 personal check. This should not have happened and it tarnished our impression of your dealership. We did all we could in good faith to assure that we would return. We should have been given at least a small window of assurance that the vehicle would be held for us. We literally needed less than 90 minutes to keep our medical appointment and return.

It seemed that they tried their best and super nice and helpful. I hated waiting so long to get the final offer (2- 3 hrs) that we never agreed upon. Finally I bought one from another dealer 1 hrs later. It's not a negative remark. They just didn't have the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted.

We felt very rushed into trying to find a single car. We were there to test drive a couple pre-owned cars. It was our first day of searching for a car. During test drive the check engine light came on. Salesman said he would take it to service. We came back later , he said it was taken car of. During second test drive the light came on again. It took over 2 days to get a response on exactly what the check engine light was for and what they "fixed" or just erased the code. Went thru 3 salesman and a manager that were no help.

Well, the buying portion of the transaction was fairly good, not bad at all. The next day I found that the car has a moldy smell coming from the air vents; guessing because it's been on the lot for a long time. I have had several calls to the service department for help, but all I get is excuses. I have had to buy a new cabin filter and went through a few cleaning processes found in uTube to clear up the smell. I explained this in an email to the Cavender GM, but did not get a response. I was send a survey from Toyota, and I added my comments and a suggestion to fix this issue for all other cars in stock, but they also did not reply. A week later, I'm still trying to work with them to clear this up.

Purchased a used car from them and less than a week later a headlamp assembly began malfunctioning. I contacted the dealer as it was reported that a missing access cover was the cause of the malfunction which resulted in moisture damage to components inside the headlamp. The dealer refuses to correct the issue or work with me. I have filed a complaint with the BBB as a result. Do not trust them. After they sell you the car they might forget about you.

Drove all the way from Austin and the car was back in inventory and hadn't even been cleaned. Then tried to sell me a hail damaged vehicle at a higher price then what was advertised even after so have them my price range. Total waste of my time.

This dealer didn't return my emails or phone calls. When they did, it was weeks later. I got the feeling they didn't really care, and i was only asking about the options on the vehicle and not the price. I kept getting different emails after a few weeks from different staff members, all acting like i had just contacted them. I had bought already and the messages keep coming in like i emailed them yesterday. Not sure if these folks are gettng the proper information from their management or internet company. At any rate, day late dollar short for them!

Was bombarded by questions from sales manager and amount of down payment like right now!!! Was given a higher rate by their finance dept. even when I asked will they shop around for the best rate. No negotiation. Avoid the dealer if you have any blemishes on credit report

The details should be clear that there is no negotiation. I worked on line with a gentleman named Brandan but when I arrived to meet him he was not available (which I understand) however the two guys that helped me were (I believe) trying to use their sales tactics and I was pretty insulted. I was there to negotiate a price and had a check to hand them however they were a bit more focused on following their sales techniques of insulting my intelligence. They insisted on understanding what I liked about the car and I really did not have a lot to share with them. I was there to purchase a car for my mother I had to emotional ties to the deal.

I called sales on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning to let him know is was coming from Austin to look at car. When I arrived, the car wasn't ready at all. Haven't been check so I couldn't test drive it and wasn't cleaned. In the process of me going to get something to eat to give them time to clean and get car ready it was sold while is was on the wat back.

Terrible experience. The salesperson, Nate, did not want to talk about the price on the vehicle. Their vehicle was $833 above market value and not even close to what the lendable value of the car was. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone.

Was not impressed. I was interested in used vehicle that needed a window handle replaced (which in my opinion and small cost to the dealer) which they would not fix. Although I like the truck, I needed cruise control which the vehicle did not have. They would add it if I would make the deal. But at my cost. Their response to both of my request is "We set our prices competitively" So basically stating We will not work with you and if you don't like the price, go find another dealership. I would not recommend this dealership.
