I drove an hour to my appointment to test drive ,and when I arrived there was no drivers seat. I was told that I could leave $1000.00 deposit to hold the car, but if I test drove it,the deposit would be non_refundable.Also,the total price would be $9100.00,What you listed as a great buy is a poor deal. I told the salesman I would pay the $7495 and was told that they don`t negotiate.Now it is 163 days sitting on their lot.

Great ppl, dealer Lya very informative and proficient, real nice and helpful, however very time consuming regarding waiting for maintenance/quality[?] safety, cleaning and loan approval inquiry. Arrived about 1pm, got to leave about 9pm, very long process. Also there is no waiting area nor customer service desk so sort of confusing of what to do when you walk in until someone finally acknowledges your there. The best part was the ppl once you are greeted, would do business again from them.

Got the answer I needed and thank you but they could of been more involved bye offering something different because the car I was interested in was not what I was looking for there was a few things I thought it had but didn’t!!!

I was told that the car was going to be leaving the lot in three days for auction. I said I could come up with the money in five. Turns out, the car was sold after it had been kept on your lot for an additional week and a half. I was surprised I was being misled and that has tainted my trust. I’m looking for a car exactly like the one that allegedly was going to auction but was sold to another person

Sometimes, vehicles remain on our lot for a period of time even after being sold because customers can't arrange transportation to send the vehicle to their location, or pick it up. All our vehicles are inspected in a 5 step process insuring that the vehicle is safe for the road, emissions compliant in Connecticut and acceptable for banks to be financed. We have over 700 vehicles in stock, and if the vehicle that was shown to you did not meet your expectations, there are many more that could have. This vehicle may have just arrived, and reconditioning not completed, or was going to be wholesaled. This should have been explained to you by your salesperson. Sorry for your experience.

Definitely an assembly line sales company. The sales guy said he could check my credit as a soft hit on my credit. The Credit Bureau listed as a hard inquiry. I took a hit on it. I didn't appreciate it. Since I didn't buy anyhow. So unless you're sure you're going to buy, don't do a credit check. I have an additional car loan so I decided not to buy. I also won't be back. The vehicles I was shown had damage. I don't trust these guys anyhow.

Sorry for the confusion regarding your credit pull. We use a credit company that is a soft pull. Based on the results of the soft pull, we can decide which one of our 17 banks would be most interested in giving us an approval for the vehicle you chose with your credit rating. Once we see the results of the soft pull, we usually know what type of rate and terms a bank may be willing to offer. When we review these payments and options with you, in order to get firm numbers, we must apply to the bank itself. Tom was awesome. Him and his team spent the entire day/evening finding me the exact car I wanted. He was extremely patient with me as I requested to test drive several different cars. His finance team worked hard to get a loan for me and I am so appreciative. When you first walk through the doors its intimidating, the set up isn’t a typical car dealership. They are busy, so make sure you plan to be there a while. They have a HUGE selection of vehicles. They sold me a vehicle at a fair price and remained transparent throughout my purchase. The only thing I wish they had done is spoken to me about the extended warranty. They explained as I was signing the paperwork they had to have that to get me a loan, but an extra 2500.00 is something you should discuss prior to drawing up a contract. Other than that my experience was great. I would recommend anyone there.

The dealership does not have an updated website, although there are a wide variety of vehicles all vehicles I inquired about were sold however their website still had the vehicle up as if it was still for sale.

Our prices are on average 85% of market prices, so your statement is a little confusing. We have sold over 45,000 vehicles, most based on the fact that we are the lowest price of most search engines. If you ask our salespeople for a NADA price sheet, they will gladly show where our asking price is way less than average retail. Because of this, we are able to finance more customers with less down payment, which banks are good with, due to the loan to value being favorable for a credit decision.

I test drove this car before purchasing elsewhere. I would not recommend this dealer. It’s like a mass production operation - very little care and interest. The car itself was not detailed, and the engine was dirty. I doubt anything was done to it. Their conveyance fee is almost $800! That neglects the low prices they advertise o line. Buyer beware.

Mileage was a lie, accidents were a lie, they low ball the heck out of your current car despite kbb values. They refuse to negotiate prices. They pick the banks with the highest interest. When you get to meeting the financial officer, she attempts to force you to have add-ons literally used the words "you have to if you want the car" they also try and scam you to get vin etching... Over all I wasn't impressed at all.

We have sold over 43,000 vehicles. We usually can give very good trade in prices because we always need more inventory. We do not negotiate as our prices are at 85% of the market price on average. We have almost 20 banks, and use the banks with the best programs based on the customers credit history or the vehicle price or mileage. We never would pick a higher interest bank, because that could make the deal too expensive for a customer. Sorry that we didn't meet your expectations.

Huge dealership with tons of options. High Dealer fee and additional charges make this place not the most oaffordable despite their low car pricing. They also do not negotiate price which added to the ~800 dealer fee makes the car almost back to KBB value to begin with before tax. Their priority is car safety and not asthetics so any visual defects will not have the price lowered.

Spoke to dealership on Saturday morning. Told salesman I would be up Sunday morning to look at vehicle. Between sat morning and the time I arrived on Sunday they had sold vehicle. No heads up to me on that so I drove 250 miles round trip for nothing....

Drove 45 minutes only to find the information in listing was wrong. Called dealership to find out why it was listed with wrong transmission type. They didn't seem to care, one week later listing is still wrong.

Very horrible service. I came from out of town, before leaving I asked what type of condition was the truck in. The sales lady was not very forth coming. The truck was in horrible condition, the sales lady in providing an alternative vehicle. I complete waste of my time and money coming to that establishment, not to be referred. 0000

this place is like junk yard with way too high prices. Starting with Staff, not that friendly. They see you walking and the don't even ask you if you need help! The cars they look clean in photos only.

We have buyers travelling over the northeast only buying vehicles that are below market price. our entire inventory is at 85% of market value, so it is very hard to find any of our vehicles that aren't thousands below other vehicles in our area. The reason we don't use, or try to verify vehicles history is that the reports are highly inaccurate. Many states do not report accidents as they are claimed, but annually. Many rental companies do not report accidents unless there was a police report doing the claim. We have a 5 step process that we have found works better that trusting history reports. Good prices but cars were a mess inside and out. Just shot. Then they put a 599 dealer fee on top of the price previously undiisclosed. No mention of fee before I drove over 1 hr to get there. Some cars they said were there couldnt be “ found” when I got there.

We then have the vehicle inspected by a Connecticut state emissions inspector. We then do our own State regulated safety inspection. Only then do we offer the vehicles for sale. History reports can be very misleading. All of our vehicles go through a 5 step safety check, that starts at the auction, where any vehicle with frame or structural damage is rejected and returned to the seller. The vehicles that are not rejected are inspected by our own technician to verify that there are no structural damages, or rusted frames, etc, If there is any structural damage, we can still and do return the vehicle to the auction.

Spoke to Rep in the morning(Antonio). Drove 2.5 hours to buy the car(from NJ to CT). When I arrived, not even a secretary at the front door, free for all environment, no eye contact, I had to go in to the back offices and ask how do I get help. They sold the car that day before I arrived. Non negotiable price of another. Total disaster of a day. If you're able to buy on a whim with your computer at this location, than ok, very untraditional. But if you have a thought out plan and expect organization, not the place for you.

He doesn't specifically recall the conversation, but is trained as all of our salespeople to inform any phone inquiries to call one hour before arrival to prepare the vehicle for display. I was a little disappointed that the vehicle shown was identified as having a clear Carfax but actually at the dealership, the Carfax available showed structural damage to the car, so I declined too buy it..

Saleswoman was friendly and pleasant. However...... I was not able to test drive vehicle as it had not passed inspection but was not told that before I made the trek to the dealer. I was able to look it over and that was enough for me to not want to test drive care. It was in terrible condition, the car was repainted poorly, the side door was jammed and many other issues with the vehicle. I had read the complaints and reviews from BBB and I should have heeded the advice of others. Don't make my mistake..... Better Stay Away.

Went to see 2011 Audi A4 premium plus. This dealer used fake photos of another car. The car is missing an entire mirror, the bumper is falling off, dents etc at least 4K worth of damage. Was told it was never in an accident. They use fake photos, lie about conditions of the car, hidden fees, etc. The entire place is scammers and will be reporting to federal business burea. The dealer even tried to encourage a deposit over the phone for the car KNOWING it had no mirror, bumper was falling off and thousands of damage while lying and saying it was In perfect condition. Fake photos. Would give 0 stars if I could.

DON'T BELIEVE THEIR ADVERTISED PRICES !! They pile on a TON of dealer fees. Fees for this, fees for that. So, the car I inquired about that was advertised for $10,995 all of a sudden became more than $13,000. I happen to think ANY kind of dealer fees are nothing other than an addition to purchase price, and also, a highly dishonest, unprofessional, sleazy practice that unfortunately is done by most dealers. After all, when you go out for dinner and the check is $100, they don't pile on a fee for the waiter, a fee to prepare your check and run your credit card, a fee for the busboy, a fee for the bartender. How would you react if a restaurant did that? No wonder the public has a more favorable opinion of pond scum than they do of car dealers.

so far so good. Just make sure you do your research well and thoroughly. Ask all the questions you need to. These autos are not detailed. Their main concern is making sure it is safe to drive. The salesperson I am working with is excellent. I will right more later once everything is said and done. my rating is actually 3 and a half stars just can not do that there.

Over 3 weeks to wait for a test drive. Most of the little nitty items needing fixing never got done. Needed a car, but not sure it is worth it. Black paw prints all over the light interior and interior stunk badly and was no where near clean. Overspray on the windshield so bad I could not see much of anything as it got dark on the ride home. Needless to say the wiper-washer did nothing to clean it off. Needed to scrape it off. A bunch of the body panels just hanging on. It will be a bit to get it in shape. If your not handy, I would not recommend. Better off just going to the auction direct.

Kept trying to upsell me.could not get the car i wanted ,i was told i needed to get a newer car and they did not even ask the bank if i could be approved for the car i wanted,i was told i would probably need more money down yet they did not talk to a lender.. ended up with nothing.

Not impressed, I traveled a little over an hour to get there and the sales person seems more interested in escaping like Houdini than helping me, went to find the keys for the vehicle and I thinking he’s still looking for them. Left us out in the heat waiting for him. We just left after waiting for 15-20 minutes. If that is a better way of buying a car, I would rethink the business motto.

I arranged in advance to come see the car on a Saturday. When I arrived, after driving 3 hours, the place was packed with customers, but my salesman made time for me within a few minutes. However, after trying to find the car for me to see and drive it, he told me the car wasn't available because it had been in an accident the night before and was at a body shop a few miles away. He apologized and did not pressure me to buy another car instead. I remain suspicious about the explanation that the car happened to be in an accident between the time I called on Friday evening and the time I arrived Saturday morning. However, my salesman was extremely courteous and did not try to sell me a different car, so perhaps the explanation of the accident is true. Overall though, my experience was disappointing after driving 3 hours each way and being unable to see the car. I did not return and did not buy the car.

Buyer beware. Photos in Cargurus were stock photos of a perfect car. When I arrived and looked at the car there was multiple nicks and dents, missing center console, and every rim had major curb rash. Luckily it was only 15 minutes out of my way.

We wanted to see three vehicles and test drive them. The first two were brought to us with no gas and could not be test driven. The second vehicle also had a huge scratch running down the driver’s side of the car. The third vehicle had a cigarette burn on the seat. The cars are cheap here and are defending as is. We left after an hour.

The dealer promptly answered my email and I contacted him throughout the week about test driving a particular vehicle. In all of our contact prior to meeting, the dealership was very kind, helpful, and informative. When I got to the dealership (which was 3 hours away), the salesperson I contacted appeared confused about which vehicle I was there to see. After several minutes, we cleared up the confusion, but then the salesperson disappeared. After searching for him for just over 30 minutes, we found him and he told us that the car had already been sold. I called him throughout the week, specifically asking if the car was still available, including the night before. I gave him a time when I would pick it up, and he sold it moments before I arrived. Very inconvenient.

I recently purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland EcoDiesel from this dealership. Sales service was very good, Salesperson seemed honestly committed to making the deal happen to where I would walk away happy with the terms of the agreement. That is why I give the dealership 2 stars, now onto the bad news. When someone spends $28k on a vehicle, it is expected that the vehicle be ready to drive away with no issues when you arrive to pick it up. The dealership had over a week in advance notice of when I would be picking up the vehicle. When I arrive the vehicle looks good on the outside and from a distance. As I get closer I see the windshield wiper is broken, the fuel tank is not filled all the way. Instead it is at 3/4s of a tank. The air filter and cabin filter where both way past time to be replaced, crammed full of debris. The interior of the vehicle could have had some more time in detail, as the carpets still had dog hair from previous owner. Some of the compartments still had trash from previous owner. My issue with all these small details is not only how much I was spending but the fact that as a sales pitch they tell you that they have gone through this vehicle with their multi-point inspection inside and out. But if that where the case wouldn't you see the wiper on the back of the vehicle dangling and when you take out the filters you would see that they need to be replaced ? So this may seem nit picky to some, but for my personal expectations when spending that much on a vehicle these are all very minor issues that should have been resolved and I as the consumer should not have known about any of them. Instead I purchased the needed items and I cleaned the vehicle when I get it home. I understand that from a business perspective a dealership would want to do as little as possible and get their return. However taking shortcuts is not going to get you a positive review.

The automobile was sold the day I was in the process of having it picked up and when I called back to put the deposit down, the saleslady had gone for the day and she was off the next day. I left a message, but it was sold the same day. It was my fault 100% I should have left the deposit the first time I spoke.

Horrible experience! After I agree to pay a $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, signed a purchase agreement, get insurance, get financing, return the plates on my old car and order aftermarket parts for the new car, I’m calling dealer several times to pick up the “new” Truck. To find out someone else already put a deposit on the car before me. Now they are slow getting me my deposit back and want to sell me something else I don’t want. Salesman was very nice !! But nice also lied to me and said they can’t bring the truck to the Chevy dealer and get the FREE recalls fixed. They cost me about $1200 for double selling that truck

Worst dealer experience ever. Tried to sell me a car that had a major oil leak. After they told me the car is all set and repaiered it still had an oil leak on top of body damage that wasn't there on my previous visit. Con artist that lure people in with low prices. They don't inspect there cars or make proper repairs. Knowingly selling junk cars stay far away from this dealer.

Be prepared for a different experience! Looks like total chaos when you arrive. But, if you are looking to purchase a vehicle at wholesale prices, this might be the place for you. Don't expect cars to look like they have been reconditioned or detailed. Expect them to look like it just came from the auction. Our sales person was very helpful and pleasant, but as of yet we have been unable to complete a deal due to the cars we are interested in are out for minor body repairs. Stay tuned to see if we can complete a deal or not... After our second visit and inspecting both vehicles we left without purchasing either vehicle. Both cars had minor body damage and small dents and dings all over. Cars are priced below market value, but that is because they are not the same condition as the market comparisons. It would cost you more than the difference in the discounted price to bring the cars up to market standard. To net it out, their cars are priced below market prices, but so are the cars below market standards. So, if your not as concerned with condition, and and able to deal with a different buying experience, give them a shot. But, if you are fussy on condition, my recommendation would be to look else where.

A better way auto sales only cares about the sale. They have no regard for the customer at all. I felt unwelcome.l and forgotten about at times. And on top of that, their cars are trash, they fix them just enough to be driveable and then resell them. I was very disappointed after driving almost an hour and a half to find out that the car that I wanted to look at didn't even have a battery in it so I couldn't drive it. Please do not do business with these people.

I called the dealership at 12:00 PM and was told that a vehicle on their website was still available. I called again at 1:30 PM and talked to JOHNNY. He was pretty rude right from the start. I told him that I was going to leave work early to drive 2.5 hours to look at the vehicle. He said I should call before I leave to make sure it was still there. I called at 3 PM to again tell him that I was on my way. He said he would get the vehicle out and ready for a test drive. JOHNNY called me at 4:30 to tell me that he couldn't find the vehicle and that he just found out it was sold. When I reminded him that I left work 2 hours early and had already been on the road for 1.5 hours he was very unapologetic and said I should call his manager to complain. He seemed more upset that he was put out than the fact that he WASTED MY TIME. Very unprofessional and disorganized dealership. That's about the nicest way I can bring myself to put it.

Joe W. was a great person to work with. We aropped unannounced and a newer person helped us, showed us all the vehicles on the lot, we ended up buying a different car than we planned thanks to the flexibility they all showed. A couple of tips for dealer: give your buyers the certified owner inclusions (literature) and possible additional warranties options when they put the reservation down. Nowadays, we all do research and like to evaluate all options before we sit down to pay. Being cornered in an office at the last minute to buy extended warranties will most likely make me pass, even if it’s a great buy. The car/warranty are managed by two separate people who supposedly don’t communicate. The client is one, the experience should be seamless. This technique is beneath this dealership. If warranty is too much to manage for sales people, they should have an informed person available to talk to before going into the final step of paperwork signature. Especially when transactions are highly discouraged from being completed in the moment. I would highly recommend this dealer in any case. We shopped around for a lot longer than usual and these guys are above all.

My wife and daughter wound up purchasing a 2012 VW Bug from Betterway. The car was in good shape and was easily $1500 below any other competitor. My wife's comment was that this was " the biggest/ busiest car lot she had ever seen". They were overall pleased with the service , though they did caveat that because of the sheer size, this is definitely a business in which doing research before arriving at the lot is necessary to getting satisfaction. She would definitely recommend doing business with Better Way again if ever again in the market for a used car.

I called, spoke to Dan. We made an appointment for Saturday morning. I arrived, the car drove up beside me seconds later. It was great! The Truck was priced to sell for a reason: it's interior and bed had been abused by its former owner. (Not a big deal to me, since this will be a work truck.) Dan fixed the brakes and changed the oil. We arranged financing and did the whole deal in one day. I drove it home. Super efficient. I actually enjoyed the transaction. Dan was great.

I arrived 15 Minutes late and waited 15 more minutes to see my sales person. The place is so spread out, it took her over an hour to find the vehicle. I test drove it and replied that I was not going to make a decision that day. The place is very hectic with people moving in and uot looking for cars. Overall, I was impressed with the operation. This place is the "puppy mill" of car dealerships. After driving more than two hours yesterday with cash in hand to buy a car, I walked in to "an office with 3 rows of tightly fitted desks - about 5 desks per row. Each one had a salesperson either on the phone or with buyers. Financing propaganda was everywhere. I had contacted "Amy" who told me the car I wanted was still available. I spoke to "Terry" when I walked in - and he found that same car on his computer. But then he unfolded his super secret list of vehicles and said it had been sold - but could/would not tell me when. He asked what it would take for me to drive home in a new car today. But "bait and switch" tactics anger and disgust me. I walked out. BTW, the car is still listed on cargurus.

You need to know what you want going in. If you want to buy a car and not deal with the usual used car B.S. this is the place. Ask for Anna. Tell her the car you want. And make an appointment. Don't just walk in and expect to window shop.

The staff was very courteous, Antonio was his name,only thing was,i drove 2-1/2 hours to look at a car that was totally submerged under water,total waste of my time ,"dont believe the pics"

A woman called me about a car I inquired about. She said they still had it in stock the day I went there. When I got there, after driving 45 minutes, I talked to a gentleman who was completely disinterested in me and said the car I was told was there 45-50 minutes prior had been sold yesterday. When I asked what else they had, he seemed almost annoyed and made like showing me anything was a great inconvenience. I asked to see one of the cars and when I asked anything about it he knew less than I did about the vehicle. How do you sell something you know absolutely nothing about? Plus all their cars were "As Is" with no warranty.

When I arrived at A Better wholesale Auto's in Ct, I said to myself, "Wow"! There was so many employees in that place just jumping to help people. Their energy in that place is amazing. Lol. I smiled the whole time, until I learned about my credit. Lmao...ohhh well! They have great cars. If you have bad credit, don't go there. They don't participate in good credit, bad credit, you'll get a car no matter what. Nope!!! Lmao....if your credit is A1 sauce, then I def. recommend A Better Wholesale auto's in CT.

Wasnt was I expected. Cars are priced below value and sold "as is". Not clean at all. Test drove a car that had food in the glove box. Had a big crowd of people. The ones that did buy said they were there for 5/6 hours. No thank you.

Extremely poor experience I drove to 3& 1/2 hours to get there I was showing a automobile that had been wrecked and repainted and it was dirty but none of this was revealed to me as I called ahead and had them check the vehicle to make certain that it was in clean and good condition my sales lady Anna assured me that the vehicle was in perfect condition do not trust these people

We we're greeted by the very friendly Therry. We told him which car we were interested in and he gave us his honest opinion and proceeded to assist us in finding the ideal car. He was extremely helpful and informative and very patient with us. Over all, we we're very happy with his service and will highly recommend going to Therry to get your car from ABW.

Busy place walked in to look at some cars and the guy asked me what car I wanted to look at. Just went to look for a new car didn't have any particular in mind . That's the perfect time for him to sell me on a car that he thinks fits me . Nope . Totally opposite . He said " If you don't know exactly what car you want than what do you want me to do " DO YOUR JOB! he said " Everything is online if you want to pick a car find it online and let us know " nope . Won't ever go back . Totally rude and unprofessional . Believe his name was Mike

We went to see this vehicle and the car was smelly, filthy and the check engine light was on. The salesman was rude, indifferent and condescending. He made us feel uncomfortable asking questions and acted like he didn't want to be there! We asked about the cleanliness of the vehicle and check engine light and he says they'll clean it and "fix all of that" in a few days if we put a deposit down to purchase?! Anytime I've ever bought a car, off the lot the car was clean and driveable off of the lot. Who puts cars on their lots that aren't?! Who's dumb enough to put a deposit on a car with an unexplained engine light with the hope it'll be magically fixed?! Stay FAR away from this sheisty place!

Called up and see if they had it in stock and they said they do. Then I took a trip for 2 hours and 15 mins to check it out. Got the dealership, went inside and sat down and waited for 10mins and NO ONE bother to come up and asked if I needed help. Went back outside, and called them up, talked to Dan and said I was outside. Went back inside and asked for Dan. Then he said "I'm busy, I said ask for a salesman, not me" very upset, DON'T COME TO THIS DEALERSHIP!

I already bought a car from this dealer, was maybe lucky. I went again to buy a car à and in my big surprise they brought the car dirty with big scratches, big dents and bad job paints. I picked another car and the fender was demolished. I almost asked if I am at the junkyard. Common people what is wrong with you just respect yourself and the client and do not sell junk cars to your clients

We sell 500 vehicles per month! Our vehicles are of great quality and unbeatable price. Sounds like Lincoln was looking at our wholesale pieces, which are the cheapest cars on the lot for a reason. We have 700 vehicles in inventory! We are the highest volume wholesale dealership in the state.
