The Tucson, Hyundai’s compact crossover, carries over mostly unchanged for 2023 after a full redesign for the 2022 model year. The Tucson Plug-In Hybrid boosts those numbers to 261 hp and 258 lb-ft, plus an all-electric range of about 33 miles and combined fuel economy of 80 miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent (MPGe). An eight-speed automatic transmission drives the gas-powered Tucson, while hybrid models get a six-speed auto. Every Hyundai Tucson now comes standard with front collision warning with pedestrian, cyclist, and Junction Turning Detection (to assist making left-hand turns at intersections), as well as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and intelligent speed-limit assist.
