The N Line features unique sporty styling elements and the Limited includes upgraded LED headlights. ## Powertrain The base powertrain in the Hyundai Kona is a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The N Line and Limited trims come with a 195-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This turbocharged engine routes power through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available. The most efficient version of the Kona is the base engine with FWD. It returns fuel economy of 30 mpg city, 35 highway, and 32 combined. Adding AWD brings fuel economy to 28 mpg city, 33 highway, and 30 combined.
