The Hyundai Tucson, a compact SUV, last received a major facelift in 2019. It enters 2020, its fifth year on the market, without noteworthy changes.
Hyundai offers the Tucson in SE, Value, SEL, Sport, Limited, and Ultimate trims. The Value and SE trims feature a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine good for 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the other trims get a beefier 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that makes 181 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with a 6-speed automatic and come with standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel drive (AWD). Fuel-economy ratings are as high as 23 mpg city, 28 highway, and 25 combined for the smaller engine or 22/28/25 for the larger one.
The base Tucson SE comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, projector-beam headlights, an electronic parking brake, a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat. An 8-inch infotainment system with navigation, a panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, wireless device charging, a hands-free power liftgate, keyless access and start, LED exterior lights, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and leather upholstery are available as options.
Like most Hyundai products, the Tucson includes a good level of safety equipment. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a reversing camera all come standard. You can then add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, and pedestrian detection. The Tucson received top scores from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The compact-crossover field is as hot as ever, but the Hyundai Tucson provides a healthy dose of competition, offering plenty of value.

by Guru953JNZFor the money, this car is hard to beat. Apple car play, back up camera, heated seats. The entire cockpit looks sophisticated for this price point. The only thing this car is missing is a more powerful engine. Acceleration is sluggish.
