I have bought my previous 2cars from Herbs and was in awe with the customer service. All my car service has been at herb chambers. So, needless to say when I was in the market to buy my next car that I found at herbs lexus, hingham I was elated! What could go wrong.....I had 6yrs of only good experience with this chain. I contacted the dealer, spoke a few times, confirmed appointment for the following day. I called the day of appointment to confirm the availability of the car and my appointment, got my check book ready (so to speak) and headed to the dealer (25miles away and a hr+ drive). Got unusual traffic, so called the sales manager (Kevin), apologized that I will be a tad late (am enroute), called the dealer again to make sure my message was conveyed and car ready (15-mins away from the dealership). At the dealership, asked for Kevin (Sales manager), who showed up and informed me that right before I came some one else showed up and took the car of a test drive. I was disappointed! the car wasn't sold...so I go to check the car and right then he says..sorry the car is sold now!!! I was furious but calm..politely told him this is not how to treat or respe people's time! Since I had an appointment and conformed multiple times, I should have been given priority (remember this is Herbchambers). He apologized but it was clear he didn't care. So I asked to speak to the GM (George Sarkis), who seemed sincere till he inadvertently mentioned we do see this every couple of months happening. He then said there was a double booking. I reminded him, that yous manager mentioned it was a walk in, so pls get your stories straight before misleading your loyal customers. I told him this is not what herbschambers stands for..you guys are the amazon for cars! But again, it was obvious this has happen and will continue to happen. My wife laughed reminding me what did you expect "these are salesmen". And I left thinking I can make a difference from "being the biggest herbs fan to never deal with people who don't respect others time all to make a few dollars". 50mile and 2.5hrs round trip, I learnt herbshingam is no different..I could have spend that time watching my toddler in her dance class...instead was pulled a fast one by a unscrupulous dealer who didn't respect my time and me as a person!!!!"
