First I was told I could not put a deposit down (I live on an island 30 miles to sea, I just wanted to make sure they didn't sell it before I could make it to the mainland a few days later). They then told me the mileage was too high to have any hope of financing it and showed no interest in helping me find a solution. I would have been the easiest customer since I was almost ready to put a down payment on it without even driving it but it was as if they didn't want to sell it at all. Very strange experience. "

Avg. Dealer Rating: (7 reviews) "It was dark out when I looked at the truck, didn't notice the ripped seats or the small dings, took it for a test drive, it got stuck in 4 wheel drive. Asked dealer to come down $500. said he couldn't budge, that it was in excellent condition. I bought it anyway. Went to pick it up 2 days later, there was no spare tire, There was a sign on the windshield, 30 day dealer warranty, but when I went back 2 days later to complete the sale, he wrote AS IS No Guarantees... I purchased a 4 year warranty, and after I finished the paperwork, the dealer told me he didn't have the title in hand, said he would overnight it, i'd have it Tuesday. On the way home, the check engine light come on, oh, also, it had no gas in it. I have never purchased a car from a dealer with an empty gas tank. I contacted the dealer, let him know the problem with the truck, and that I expected him to fix it, he said to drop it off. I am over 1 hr away, so asked that I could come when he had the part and could do the work right away. He said sure, come in the morning tomorrow, which would have been Thursday, Friday or Monday. I arrived Thursday morning, after sending an email reply to his email, giving me those options. He looked surprised to see me. Said he didn't have the part, or the title, or the spare time. He threw a plate on another vehicle and said be back by 3:00, or before 5:00 when they closed. I called before I headed out, and he said they didn't have the part yet. Come tomorrow about 3:00. Again, I call on Friday before heading down there. He said the mechanic didn't do the job yet, but by the time I get there it will be done. When I got there, it was done, and he finally had the title. He said they put the spare time in the back. By the time I got back, it was to late to go to the registry, this was the last day to register, from date of purchase, but did finally get it registered on Monday, so it sat until then. I had my boyfriend take the spare tire out of the back of the truck. It was bald on one side, had a plug sticking out of the top of it. It was from a junk yard and in rough shape. The light has stayed off, so I guess its worth the 1 star, but I would never buy a vehicle from that dealer again. It was a lot of hassle. I almost didn't buy the truck. I planned on going to a public auto auction that Saturday. The dealer went about how much better it would be to buy from a dealer, because they check it out, everything is taken care of... I don't think they did anything but Armarol it."
