At their Orange, CA sales lot, they carry an extensive inventory of hybrid/electric vehicles. I can honestly say that my car buying experience with this firm was outstanding. One of the smoothest and easiest car buys I have ever experienced. Angel and Johnny were great to work with. The deal went easy and smooth. Yes, there was the expected attempt to "up- sale" extended warranties, but this is expected... They were soft and easy in their approach. A fantastic dealership! The one significant negative, and in my book this is huge, is that Auto Republic ended up cancelling a three month extended warranty they said would be included in the transaction. A little over a month into that 3- month extended warranty period, I received a letter from Warranty Solutions, the underwriter, stating that the extended warranty had been cancelled by Auto Republic for one of the following reasons: (1) double entry, (2) the return of the vehicle to the dealership (an "unwound deal"), and/or (3) my declination of purchase. I still have the car and never return the car or cancelled the deal. As to what a "double entry" means, that I do not know. What I do know is that Auto Republic did not honor their obligation per the sales deal. They said they would include a three-month extended warranty which turned out to be only a 1 month warranty. I simply cannot rate a dealership which does not honor their word over a one-star rating. The only reason I am rating Auto Republic with two-stars, is the people I dealt with when I bought the car. It is too bad that others in the main office cannot be as great as Angel and Johnny. Someone dropped the ball in this outfit. I doubt that it was Angel or Johnny. Due to the dealership not honoring their word at the time of sale, I cannot recommend this dealership. Yes, the sales team can be great, by they are only part of the team. A dealership is comprised of the entire work force/management that makes up the whole "team.""
