He asked me when I could come in to test-drive the car. I had had a 2014 Sonata before, so I skipped the test drive and put down $300 to hold the car. The manager then sent me a credit application and told me they put a hold on the car. The next morning, I got a text that the car that I held had actually been sold on Sunday. No apology and the text was very unprofessional."

In fact, after leaving a deposit, I had to chase the dealer to complete the deal rather than the other way around. Almost every attempt to finish the sale for the car I wanted was met with various obstacles... and strange explanations and no straight answer....unbelievable. Literally a month went by after leaving the deposit and while on my way with CASH to pay for the car from Massachusetts, I got a call saying the car was unavailable that day for some strange reason. Then I realized this dealer had probably received a better bid for the car I wanted and did not want to sell it to me---which is just so unethical and rotten to do to a customer and dishonest to boot. Also, the shop is so busy, short staffed, and difficult to get a hold of and impossible to get any straight answers, if I had bought the car and had problems, I would have been in real trouble. Thankfully, I got the message that they didn't want to sell me the car and moved on and bought the same car for far less elsewhere with a straight up dealership in NH."
