They confirmed it was still available and she gave me an official quote of $200 less than the quoted price online. The following day I went and test drove the vehicle. The day after that, my husband went to see the car with the intention of purchasing the car. He had cash on hand for the down payment. Carlos, one of the sales manager was not willing to budge on the price. He was unaware of the $200 off we were given online and still wouldn't budge. He was indignant and rude. My husband walked out. That evening we get a call from Carlos telling us that someone from NY was coming to look at the car and he asked if we were sure we were no longer interested. I was livid! We WERE interested in the car which is why we drove one hour away and came in to BUY it, yet he was unwilling to even mildly negociate with us. We told them no. I didn't even want to give them my business at this point. A few days pass and we get another call from our salesman, Robert. He was nice...I have no issues with him. He gave us one last chance to buy the car because yet again, someone else was coming to look at it (I hate the games these people play...it's ridiculous!). We told them we were still interested and put a security deposit on the car, $500. The following morning we went to purchase the car. After looking it over, we noticed there weren't any car mats in the front or the back. We asked if they could get us some car mats. Our salesman had to go ask Carlos, and he said, "No, if there's no car mats, there's no car mats." Wouldn't budge. I understand we were buying a mildly used car, but seriously? You can't find us a set of car mats anywhere in your dealership? We told them, no. If we are buying a $20K vehicle from you, you need to get us car mats. Again, Carlos refused. Our salesman, I could tell, was very upset with Carlos and we ended up concluding our purchase on the other side of the dealership on the new car side. I don't know exactly what down or why we left that building, but it was very awkward. The general manager, Andy and Robert told us they would fill out a "We OWE" sheet and they would be sure to get us some car mats. The transaction went smooth and I would like to applaud our salesman, Robert for trying to make the best of an awkward situation. This dealership needs to re-think their sales manager, Carlos. He is a pompous, indignant man, who apparently knows nothing about the importance of pleasing and appreciating your customers. I guess it's more important for him to save $40 on car mats than ensure his customers leave happy and satisfied. My recommendation, the dealership is OK, but avoid Carlos like the plague!"
