Wanted to take it to a mechanic first to get it looked over. They were pretty insistent on me going to firestone, which is where they get their oil changes and simple fixes done. I agreed to go to firestone but after I left Nextcar I decided against it and took it to another mechanic. He looked it over and said it looked great, until he took off the transmission fluid cap. There was corrosion and evidence that the car is burning transmission fluid. I then took it to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion, he said the same as the first. They both seemed to agree that this car will only last another 20-30k miles before the transmission goes. When I told Next car that I couldn't buy it and why, they didn't seem concerned, just said "good to know." But now I see that the Sale is pending. Hopefully this person reads my review or has a mechanic look it over before purchasing. "

I basically wanted to test drive the new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk car and see if I liked it and get an idea of the cost and where I would need to be. "Brian" treated me as though I was wasting his time the whole time I was there and was frankly, very rude to me. He didn’t let me out of the parking lot with the car for one thing. I was a driver in the Air Force and I wasn’t happy about that. Second, after my car was appraised and we were back inside the dealership, and I told him what I had been offered that day for my car at another dealership he responded in an angry way, saying, “WHO OFFERED YOU THAT?!” He then stormed out of the office where I was sitting to speak to a manager I guess. I’m aware that I am upside down in my Hyundai, and asked him about the possibility of rolling that over into a lease. He responded angrily and said, “Jeep doesn’t have a lease program on that car!” “WHO TOLD YOU YOU COULD DO THAT??!!” I didn’t appreciate the way he spoke to me nor the way he treated me. I felt like I was on the witness stand. I will never do business with the Jeep dealership in Summerville, SC, based on my experience that day."
