2006 Ford E-Series Cargo E-350 Super Duty Ext Review
by Paul

got gas?

this truck has gone 50k hard miles without letting me down. up in the mountains or pulling the boat out of the drink it can't be stopped. its powered by ford's V10 gas and mated to 4:10 gears. she wears 35" mudders by BFG and suspension by skyjacker. performance is incredible, but the milage is pathetic. this is my daily driver.

Avg. Dealer Rating: (11 reviews) "This place is terrible. My experience is as follows: I see the car online in good shape and decide to check it out in person. I get there and see a shady looking lot with dusty, damaged cars everywhere arranged haphazardly. Since its a tiny lot, it doesn't take long for me to find it. Walking past cardboard on the ground, and it definitely does not look like the picture. The interior was dusty and much more torn up than it looked and there were way more dings, dents, and bumper damages than acceptable even for an old used car. At this point I was wondering whether or not this was a good idea. After a few minutes of looking at the car I was interested in, the owner tells me I'm not allowed to look at the interior or engine bay. Okay, maybe he's had some sketchy people in the past. He said he'd get back to me in a few minutes as he finishes a transaction with another customer. This turned into an hour and I'm not sure why I waited. Then they ask if I have the cash to buy the car. Yea, if the price is right but I need to test drive it. She starts up the car and says her husband is a mechanic and makes sure the cars are good, which is a surprise to me because the belts were squeaky, the idle was rough, and the car knocked consistently. They were adamant not to let me test drive the car unless I was going to buy it. I said again, if the price is right. They then proceeded to tack on non-existent fees. The car was listed for $4,000 and they ended up telling me to pay $5,800. "It has low miles, it has low miles!," he kept saying. I left with the person who drove me and bought her food as an apology for wasting everyone's time. To sum up my experience, Their customer service is non-existent, their cars are sketchy, and they will try to rip you off to the best of their ability. Luckily, that ability is not very honed. And if anyone cares, I got a much newer model of the same car for $2500 less including all DMV and tax fees than their in-person asking price. Avoid this place. I'll never get my hour back and I don't want anyone to lose their hour either."

Avg. Dealer Rating: (11 reviews) "I had a very hard time communicating with this dealer. I am not sure what their first language is, but it not english. I had to ask them to repeat themselves a few times for everything they said. Difficult to say the least. But that was when I was actually able to speak with them in person. I first tried emailing them through this car gurus site. no answer. I tried calling them at the number provided. no call back. I went on a Friday afternoon at 12pm. No one was on the lot, with no posted open business hours signs. So I called again to the number posted on the builiding (same as web), no answer. I sent a text, no reply. I went back the next day on a Saturday around 12pm again, and I found the husband and wife team (?). I assume they were just opening up as they were backing cars off the lot and moving them onto the street. The wife noticed I was there for a vehicle after about 2 minutes. I tried asking her about it, but the accent was very thick and hard to decipher. She brought out the keys for the car I was looking at from a bag on the roof of another car and gave me a chance to inspect it. But after about 2- 3 minutes, the husband started yelling to her, she yelled back at him and she left me to check out the car solo. I noticed some noise on the car and the husband yelled at her again. She jumped in the car and turned off the AC on the car and the noise stopped. I asked if he knew anything about the car and he turned around and walked away. After about another 2-3 minutes checking out the car, I was told excuse me sir, but you have to go, please come back later. Apparently, the cars they were moving off the lot were parked illegally on the street and they had to scramble to move them due to a parking enforcement agent rolling up on them. I was barely on the lot for 10 minutes and already being asked to leave. I asked for a card and she ran to the office to grab one. I asked if I could stay in the office to wait for them to have time to show the car. The office was in shambles and very disorganized looking. She was not having it and told me, no-no-no, please sir another time. So I left very puzzled. I was really interested in the car so I came back later that afternoon. I asked the husband what was the price on the car. He gave me a very off putting look. He asked me where did I find the car. I said on the web. So he said, the price is on the web. Let me say that none of the cars on the lot have prices on them, if any info at all. So I guess if I was just a walk up customer, I would be out of luck. I tried making an offer on the car and he just walked away yelling the price is the price. I gave another offer and they were not willing to negotiate. So I left. On the following Monday I called again using an alternate number on the card, thinking that maybe they were just having a bad day. I spoke to the wife and she said to come visit, they would be open at noon again. This was at 1030 am. I went at noon and no one was there. I waited 25 extra minutes and no one showed up. So I left. I called later that day and she said, we are here now. I decided to ask her the price over the phone. She said I will call you back. 15 minutes later, She said the best they could do was $2650, plus tax title registration and dealer fees, raising the price to $3300. That was $800 over my highest offer and they would not work with me. The price on the web is $2999, raised from $2695. I noticed that the car was not in perfect shape, had a few paint scrapes and noticed a few other things in the interior that were to me negotiable items. That is why I offered a lower bid. But they WILL NOT NEGOTIATE for any reason. Maybe if you know their language you might be able to work a better deal, but not with me. Maybe it was for the best that I wasn't able to purchase a vehicle from this used car lot. There is a lot to be said when things are this difficult to get someone to sell you something you actually want to buy. I ended up purchasing another car private party and not found on car gurus. I would give them a zero stars, but the fact that they had inventory online and the car was there on the lot makes for 1 star. Some places do the bait and switch and don't even do that much. I would not go back to this lot. COLD HARD CASH might work, but who knows with these owners. "

I then was trying to explain to them that I was going to pass on the car they were trying to sell me because another finance company had approved for a loan that was more than their vehicle loan and it was actually a car I was interested in. While I was explaining that I would pass on the deal he was offering the man on the phone got upset and hung up the phone in the middle of my sentence. I assume he felt like I was wasting his time. I'm just speaking on my experience with Prime Auto."

After reviewing the vehicles known issues, and seeing that their price was a little more than $1200 Over fair market value, they didn't seem to have any interest in negotiating a better price. I did not do business with them after this."
